Adopting agentic AI isn't the tough part anymore for finance teams. Knowing who's accountable when it gets something wrong is.

38% of finance pros already have agentic AI running in at least some processes, and half plan to deploy it over the next year.

The gap isn't appetite. It's structure. When AI makes a mistake, blame splits almost evenly three ways: the IT team that implemented the system, the finance leader who approved the AI use, and the individual who acted on the recommendation.

Everyone assumes AI cuts entry-level jobs first. The data says otherwise.

46% of finance leaders expect mid-level analytical and reporting roles to be impacted most. And 44% of finance teams have already seen entry-level hiring increase while mid-level hiring shrinks.

Why it matters: mid-level roles are where finance professionals build the experience that gets them promoted. Bend the career ladder and it breaks in the middle.

The organizations that keep their best people will be the ones that invest in real training, clear career paths, and genuine support for AI adoption.
