Indentive

Indentive Making advanced technology accessible and available since 2011. A major focus for us right now is helping to enable our users to live more sustainably.

We live in a world that is increasingly connected, further amplified by the arrival of the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced technologies. At Indentive, it's our mission to ensure the opportunities offered by this hyper-connected future are accessible and available to everybody. That’s why we’ve developed “Connective”, an open platform designed to unleash the potential offered by IoT. From a s

ingle platform, users can connect, integrate and manage their data, services and smart devices, collected into one, coherent user ecosystem. Right now, we’re working with a range of innovative operators to bring a selection of exciting services to the Connective interface; secure your home with our home alarm service, set routines to automate your smart devices from our smart home toolkit or regulate your energy consumption using our energy dashboard. The possibilities are endless and this is just the start.

This year, we’ve been introducing you to the faces that make up Indentive – and today is no exception. Meet Simon, whose been working with us as a Full Stack Designer for almost a year now. Simon’s a student at Linköping University and after joining us as a summer intern last year, working on developing wearable tech solutions for giving elderly people more independence, he stayed on part time alongside his studies.

As a full stack designer, he’s worked throughout the development process, more recently on our Vägvisaren project, where he’s helped to explore how Connective can help energy consumers to behave in more energy efficient and sustainable ways.

Unfortunately, he'll shortly be moving on from Indentive, but not before he completes his thesis project with us, which will focus on how conversational agents can be used to improve the smart home experience. We’ve really enjoyed having Simon as part of our team over the past year and wish him every success in his future endeavours!

Recently, we introduced , our latest iniative designed to build long lasting, sustainable behavioural change for energy consumers across Sweden!

In partnership with Umeå Energi, Psykologpartners and Linköpings universitet, we've spent the spring scoping a series of product solutions to coach and support consumers in reducing their energy footprint.

Early user feedback revealed that, often, consumption-based concepts such as “energy effect” and “peak usage” can be alienating for us. That's why, we're building a digital twin, to educate consumers and service operators through gameplay. Catch a sneak peak of what we're cooking up below!

At Indentive, the majority of us have been working at distance for over a month now in response to COVID-19. But working remotely hasn’t stopped us finding ways to stay active and healthy!

Whilst some of us have transformed our homes into gyms with new equipment, others have taken to the streets of Linköping – making the most of the nature that’s all around us as we complete our daily exercise. Its all because we believe staying happy and healthy in the mind helps to keep us efficient and productive in the (home) office too.

We’d love to hear how our followers have been getting creative with their health and fitness during corona times – feel free to share your ideas and suggestions below!

As we continue in our quest to familiarize you with all the stuff that make up Indentive, today Jenny takes center stage to tell us all about the life of a UX/UI designer!

Jenny explains it’s her job to make sure we keep the end user at the heart of everything we do. She also keeps the developers in their toes with a steady stream of graphical content, helping to create an immersive user experience. She says the strong group dynamic in our technical team helps to make sure this process is as effective as possible, creating a supportive environment for building products which really make a difference for our end users.

Jenny tells us that she likes that her job allows her to be creative, as she’ll often take a rough customer idea and work it through into something tangible and aesthetically pleasing, which also appeals to her perfectionist tendencies to make things symmetrical and attractive to the eye!!

It's been a busy month in , where we're deep into the design phase on a number of services designed to improve energy consumption habits.

Here's a sneak preview of a widget we've been working on designed to help consumers make smart decisions when doing their laundry. We've been discussing and redrafting designs weekly with our partners Linköpings universitet, Psykologpartners and Umeå Energi to make sure we learn from real consumption behaviours and research to build tools which truly drives long-lasting behavioural change. More insights to follow soon!

This year, we’ve been presenting you with some of the staff that make up Indentive and today we’d like to introduce two students who join us from Linköpings universitet, Gina and Tobias!

Both study Human Resources, where they’ve been learning a lot about behavioural science, organisational development, labour law and organisational recruitment. They join us on a four-week internship, designed to allow them to apply lots of this theory in a real, corporate context.

Gina will focus on corporate health and wellbeing, with a focus on how our employees utilise their friskvårdbidrag grants in the pursuit of a healthier workplace. Whilst Tobias will be digging into our personal development processes, to understand how employees set and plan towards achieving their development goals, with a view to identifying how Indentive as a company can best support these ambitions.

We’re delighted to have both Gina and Tobias working with us, albeit virtually to keep them safe and healthy during this age of social distancing! We’re really excited to hear the results of their projects and learn about their ideas and recommendations for how we can optimise our existing HR provisions.

The dramatic reach of reminds us how critical information spread can be in times of crisis.

That's why we're introducing "Connective Messaging", our all new offering to support real estate companies in maintaining vital communication links with their tenants when they need them the most, available for free at this time.

If you're a BRF or real-estate operator, or if you think your housing company could benefit from a digital communications platform at this time, we'd invite you to get in touch via [email protected] or +46 13 465 85 00.

Recently, we’ve been introducing you to some of the staff that make up Indentive and today its Gustav’s turn.

Gustav is a student at Linköping University who has joined us to write his thesis. He is interested in how technology can motivate shifts in consumer behaviour and plans to test how persuasive technologies and gamified learning techniques can drive such change.

Gustav will test a prototype with real users, who will participate in challenges picked based on the reward received for completing it. He hopes this will provide some valuable learning as to what most motivate a user’s choices. We’re excited to see what learnings we can take from this study, and how we can apply these outcomes to our Vägvisaren project.
