When Cris Ann was told she had kidney disease in 2016, she proactively registered on the kidney transplant waiting list, hoping to avoid dialysis treatment like her brother. Soon after she learned she is one of the 10-15% of kidney transplant patients in the U.S. who are highly sensitized, making it virtually impossible to find a compatible donor kidney.

Following we continue to recognize the life-changing impact of transplantation. Follow us in the upcoming few weeks as we share Cris Ann’s story to raise awareness of the unmet need of highly sensitized kidney transplant patients, who need a chance to a better quality of life.

Cris Ann is a nurse, a mother of four, and a highly sensitized kidney transplant patient desperately trying to find a donor kidney that would allow her to live life to the fullest. But with a cPRA of 100%, Cris Ann’s chances to find a compatible donor organ are virtually non-existent.
