Time for a change

Dear clients, colleagues and friends. After 4 years with my own company ad 30 years previous on different and agency’s, it is time for me to focus on one brand. From 1st of January, I will be joining IMC IKEA in Älmhult as an Art Director

So a big warm thank you to all my lovely clients for the work we have done together. Gabriella Ünal Design and Cherry’Oh! gets to slumber in a long beauty sleep – who knows what the future holds. But for now I am excited for my new opportunity and very much look forward to this next step in my career.

Älmhult here I come!

How does your Brand sound, and how does it look in motion? In social media post or story? Keeping a consistent Brand is always a challenge - especially if you are a big global company. Like Alfa Laval. And in the digital era with motion and film becoming a big part of the marketing, the need for guidance is more important than ever.

During the last year we have been designing the new Alfa Laval brand guidelines for print applications, packaging, social media, signs, film & motion, stationary and vehicles. The original design made by - our work has been continuing the design journey and create the expression and guidelines – assets and tutorials. Ensuring a consistent Brand experience where ever the brand appears.

To all of you - a very big thank you! Clients and collaborators, photographers, stylists and make-up artists. Printers and animators, programmers and what-evers. Friends and family. Another year has passed, filled with that sometimes challenging, sometimes thrilling and most of the times everydays - that is called life. It was a good one. Looking forward of what to come in 2022. The studio, both Gabriella Ünal Design and Cherry’Oh! will have some time off - we will be back full time 10 January - but we are always here for you if something comes up. Packaging design for Lecora a brand. Re-designing the classical roll-pack with just 50 mm print surface was a challenge. Choosing a design path that would give great impact on the shelf - turning the limits to possibilities. Two of them out in your local store - 15 to go.

From the archives - Cover design Ebba Grön live. I used a old photocopier and a fax to create “punk dirt and scratches”. My first meeting with THÅSTRÖM was in an empty barn at the farmhouse of Nicklas from Noice. Just joakim on a chair in the middle. Epic. #1997 Thank you Eggis Jo Pelle Ossler
