Innovation for Logistics: LYTE Aviation’s SkyTruck and Kookiejar Vertiport push Heavy Payload Drone Delivery Operations forward!
Norrköping / Sweden – As LYTE is pioneering the worldwide first 40 seater eVTOL for point to point delivery of 40 passengers, the SkyBus, and additionally, as a cargo variant, the SkyTruck, for 4.5 ton cargo, (thus, currently the largest cargo drone available on the market), the recently established partnership between KookieJar vertiports is the next logical step for ideal heavy payload drone delivery operations. Inspired by the Swedish IKEA Concept, Kookiejar’s modular approach of building Vertiports allows cities and municipalities to create an efficient network, coupled with existing and non-existing infrastructure, Kookiejar inexpensive solutions allow flexibility to deploy Vertiport network enabling air mobility for all.
The LA-44 SkyBus and complementary LA-44C SkyTruck are the accumulation of three years’ R&D. The result is a game-changing, vertical take-off and landing vehicle - designed to be five times more fuel efficient and less noisier than current helicopters.
LYTE’s SkyBus offers a range of 620 miles (1,000 km) with a max speed of 190 mph (300 km/hr). The LA-44 has a tandem tilt-wing design, disrupting other futuristic looking next-gen designs. A full-scale prototype is being planned within 24 months, and serial production within 5-6 years. No other VTOL product currently even comes feasibly close to LYTE’s SkyBus with its 40 passenger capacity.
