At Motim we had the luck of running into , or actually he ran into us ;-). A gifted artisan, who lives and works in Saõ Paulo, how great is it that one of the main purposes of this trip, is to create exchanges and build relations? When he invited us to his studio in SP, we dived in, and felt right at home. Egons has deep knowledge about symbolism, ancient gods, history, and politics through his mind, heart and hands it comes to shape in amazing engravings. What a privilege, to have it come alive right in front of our eyes.
We have spent numerous hours in SP with Egon, sharing stories, views, knowledge, food, laughs and heart. We have a strong feeling that we will meet again! We welcome the unexpected and where it will lead us next.
One purpose with our trip was to get inspired and to bring this energy back, and hopefully inject Stockholm with some of it.
And did we get the energy? Well, hell yes! Totally filled up with impressions from venues, markets, studios, the modern museum and more, here is one space in particular. Thanx to Egon’s network, we got to visit an amazing printshop. Every millimeter covered in details, history of previous works, traces of creativity and MAD skills.
