10+ years of biking, running and refining swim technique. 3 marathons, several 10k, 5k and half marathons, countless bike races (and DNFs) and pool lane crowds. 2 half 70.3 Ironmans for preparation the last 4 years during covid. 1 big fu***ng dream! Basically my entire 30’s of training built up to IRONMAN 140.6 LAKE PLACID 2024.
I used to setup the tents at Lake Placid Ironman in the late 90’s when I was 19 (Vermont Tent Company), and to say I was in a different place then would be an understatement. This was more than a race, training or competing, it was showing myself how I can overcome anything in my life that I put my energy, mind and love into. Proving to myself that I’m worth of the investment, and I can face challenges head on, even if those challenges are hard and difficult to face.

26.5 / 42.2 km RUN (Marathon)
All in one go. I DID IT! WE DID IT! FFS! 😭 14 hours and 29 minutes. Can't describe it.
I want to thank my fiancé for her constant support, love and belief. Even if I didn’t believe it myself at times, you were there. Water bottles while I’m on the trainer in the dead of winter, missing plans and holidays to train, all the way to nutrition and being LOCKED IN 😉 on race day. I can’t imagine this EVER happening without you.
My wonderful family who showed up….Elijah, Henry, Joseph, Sarah Goldwyn and Lawrence Goldwyn. Meant the world to me. Love you all. Big Steve and Pam, I’m sure you’re confused on how your genetics made this happen :) haha. Love you both and you rock 💪
David Drew, Johan Lundgren and Kristian Luoma (Team Gooch), your friendship and support over the years helped make this possible. We seem to get older yet more eager to take on goals and build ourselves up. You guys are a constant inspiration, and we have fun doing it. Kram!
Erik B Blomberg, without your guidance and daily plan the last several months, this would’ve been very different. Hard to believe I can have a smile on my face for 14.5 hours and feel okay. A huge thanks to you for keeping it honest and the work in check.
