Did you know that Sweden has the largest gender pension gap among Nordic countries? With a staggering 28% disparity, many women are left struggling in retirement. Over 17% of female pensioners are at risk of poverty, compared to just 9% of men.
SI Gunnel Hazelius-Berg, inspired by a recent SI webinar, is shining a light on this urgent issue. Together with the Swedish Women’s Lobby, they’ve launched a social media campaign and hosted a webinar to raise awareness and drive change. It’s time to tackle the pension inequalities that affect so many.
