It's sad to say it' but this is Henriks last tips about effective prospecting and connecting 🥹 And this is about the actual connecting! But fear not, you'll get plenty of more tips from more of us here at iGoMoon 🥳

So, tips #5: Do not limit yourself by obsessing with specific contact details.
Instead, you can compensate by expanding your connection channels. This is also a natural and organic way of finding out what works better. Since most people are on LinkedIn, why not connect there?

Many times this will allow for a warmer connection. You will automatically have a reason to research someone’s profile, their history, what they write about and if you have a relevant mutual connection. Once again, use whatever warm connections you already have, maybe they can help introduce you? You may spend more time on connecting with fewer, but your hit rate will be better 🎯

However, just because you know someone who knows someone, this does not mean that you automatically will be successful with a simple pitch 🤷🏽‍♂️ A simple pitch usually means a quick rejection. Again, focus on what the value of speaking with you is. Instead of borrowing someone’s time, you would like them to understand that they are actually investing time by speaking with you. This is when your research will come in handy and help you create relevance.

If you manage to teach someone something they did not know about how they run their business, you have already provided value. You can absolutely do this without pitching the solution.

It's Monday morning! Did you have your morning coffee yet? ☕️ And how was your weekend? Did you think a lot about Henriks previous tips? If you haven't checked them out yet, you can find them on our socials!

We're at number 4 now, and this post is about how you actually can find the right contact details ☎️

Depending on what type of connection you are planning on doing, you might need to find a variety of contact details. This is a recurring issue for many and I would not say there is a simple answer 🙇🏽

I use a combination of whatever is out there at my disposal, as well as some smart segmentation softwares. There are plenty of prospecting tools such as LinkedIn navigator, and if you are planning on connecting over LinkedIn this is a perfect match 💙

Using a prospecting tool where you can create lists of your target companies by segmentation and combine this with the research affiliated with the ICP is a good start. It might not provide you with an email address or phone number, but there are tools for this as well.

Tips #3 from the man, the myth, the LEGEND Henrik Stålhand. Today he's serving you with a really sweet treat! And it is.. 🥁 value proposition!

If you've read Henriks previous tips when it comes to effective prospecting and connecting, you now know that you need to have an ICP and buyer persona. You also need to do the research, regarding their biggest internal and external challenges (this includes challenges for the companies and ICP/buyer persona). 👩‍🔧

When having all of this information, you probably have all the ingredients to connect, but you need to mix, match and combine this with your offering in a way that makes sense. In my opinion, this is much harder than it sounds. Trust towards sales people is generally low, which is why I believe that sharing value instead of pitching value works better. I like to think that you always start with being relevant and then build trust by staying relevant. Your research is what helps you stay relevant. 🥳

Something that helps me is the ”job-to-be-done” method. There is a classic example with someone buying a drill, but actually, that person is looking to get a hole in the wall 🕳️

So, for each buyer persona, what would be the ”hole in the wall” (value) that your offering provides? The hole is what is relevant, so I like to talk to them about just that.
