Bombee and Maelstrom Entertainment proudly partnered with Red Bull to deliver set and costume design, broadcast, motion graphics, and a custom-built real-time API tournament client for Red Bull Boss Rush. This unique Balatro format marked a first-of-its-kind tournament, featuring 8 remote content creators competing in fast-paced speedrun challenges using a custom-developed Red Bull game mod.

The event took place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere London, where player feeds were integrated into the live broadcast for on-site hosts Yinsu Collins, DrSpectred, and Rarran. The set design and costumes drew inspiration from Balatro’s iconic jokers, while leveraging the venue’s existing LED wall to seamlessly integrate the graphics package into the environment.

The livestream was a major success, further reinforcing Red Bull’s position as a leader in innovative and original gaming experiences.

Bell Esports Challenge Mainstage at Fan Expo Canada 2025

Bombee is proud to have delivered the technical production for The Bell Esports Challenge at Fan Expo Canada 2025 for the third year in a row with partners Overactive Media, Maelstrom Entertainment and Red Bull.

The annual event saw world class players competing for a $60,000 prize pool and drew large crowds throughout the entirety of the show. Bombee provided technical production of the main stage, sponsor and partner integrations, event logistics and project support.

The Swedish summer may be nearing its end, but there are still plenty of shows to go! Our Pyro/SFX team is working harder than ever. This past weekend alone, we were on site at 9 different festivals, supporting artists like Hov1, Steve Angello b2b Solomun, Victor Leksell, Hooja, Soppgirobygget, and many more.

We deployed over 50 flame systems, 48 MagicFX Eco2Jets, 5 Firework finales including more than 2,500 pyro effects across the events. And the festival season continues throughout all of August.

A look behind the scenes at creating the CDL Championship Weekend 2025 with our Partners Over Active Media.

Bombee worked closely with Esports Engine (Arena Broadcast), Activision Blizzard (Tournament Operations), and Maelstrom Entertainment (Arena In-House Entertainment & Challengers Broadcast) to produce the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend in Kitchener, Canada; a paramount event in the esports calendar that draws fans and players from around the world.

The event has become the most watched CDL event of all time. Viewership peaked at 353,525 viewers during the intense Grand Final between OpTic Texas and Vancouver Surge. In addition, Champs also became the second most-watched Call of Duty esports event in history.

Bombee leveraged their expertise in technical production to create a visually stunning 360 degree stage to enhance the experience for players and fans, working closely with all stakeholders to deliver a world-class production to both live and online audience members.
