How can we get more people to use public transport? Can nudging help? In our co-founder, Christina's, new paper, just out in the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, with Linus Olsson Collentine they show in a field experiment with over 14,000 people for whom we track public transport use for eight months that social norm nudges don't work to change behavior.
The good news? Doubling the free trial period from two weeks to four weeks has a significant impact on travel behavior even 6 months after the incentives are removed and people need to pay to use public transport. There is hope that we can get more people to use sustainable transport even with fixed infrastructure. You can download the paper for free for the next 50 days here: https://lnkd.in/e33DtTid

My name is Ieva Silina and I'm looking for participants for my Master's thesis research study about how you feel at work and how the circumstances at work contribute to it.

Why should you talk to me? I know we are all busy!
