SHADOW TRAINING 🎾OVERHEAD 🎾BH VOLLEY DRILL

Working without a ball can sometimes make all the difference. I think shadow training is something that should be part of a group sessions so all the participants can be involved and active while the others are hitting and slamming balls . Make sure to use your time on court wisely:)

FAMILY COACHING DRILL❤️🌟🎾🤩

It’s been a while since I posted a video but found this amazing one when .thriskos made me run and giving me coaching queues.

Working out with your kids and family can sometimes be very rewarding and fun . Hopefully they will get inspired and realize that this should be part of their life moving forward, no matter what they want to become in life ❤️❤️

KNEE FRIENDLY TRAINING 🎾

Worked for me, it doesn’t mean it has to work for you ??

Injuries occur unfortunately and are part of sports and performance. A few years back I had a major set back with my left knee and my way back to 100 % was nothing but setbacks and a long time of recovery and trying to figure out what way was right.

Had my physios helping me out with basic ( getting back on track ) exercises which I followed 100 % because I was so determined to get playing tennis and Padel 🎾

But i realized that all the setbacks actually was good in a way . Despite all the structured programs I got I had to find my ways of doing training , suited for my body at that particular time in my life. If a physio told me to do single leg jumps I did it eve though it I didn’t feel good doing it :(
Maybe it was too early , maybe it wasn’t the right approach at that particular time, who knows? But all this made me more sharp in terms of getting to know my body better , listening to it , learn more what works for me .

Tip of the day / Learn to work with your body on all aspects, try things out , figure out what you can do or not do🎾🎾 And yes you might need to have a good team of physios around you of course but for me it’s all about be connected with your body and that will take you to higher and better performances in your sports and life in general 🎾🌟

And yes, I miss these mats . Hard to find them nowadays.

PARTNER ASSISTED EYE & HAND COORDINATION DRILL🎾

This kind of drills are good if you want to wake up the the body , all systems in terms of reaction time , focus and movement which can give that extra boost before a practice or an important game . I love these exercises and I need them for sure .

On this video we throw an object ( 3 colors- Red -Grey -Yellow ) which we shout out before and the other one has to catch that end with the right color . Not so easy actually, concentration needs to be there 100 % 🎾👍

PREPARE YOUR HIPS🎾

Still very good in my opinion especially after playing many matches of Padel 🎾 I do get beaten up pretty hard around the hip area after some intensive training and I do think that the surface has a big role in that as well. While running around , stopping, changing directions all the time doesn’t make things easier for my poor hips I guess 😂

All my salsa courses back in the days finally made some sense 🤣😇

THE VOLLEY🎾

Such an important shot in padel but so hard for many to master, to learn ! Most of my clients are beginners up to intermediate + so this feeling of mine is based on all the hours spent on court with them, trying to find different ways / solutions , a feeling or just an understanding of how this shot is or should be executed 🎾

As a coach I have an obligation to try and find the right drills , say the right words and transfer that into a feeling so that they hopefully will “get “ it in the end 🌟🎾

The volley has many complex steps you need to learn and it takes time to find the right timing and to put all the pieces together.

So why do I I write this ? Well, to tell you “ Be patience “, to work on the small stuff”, get more consistent “ and “put the hours in “ and the results will come . Listen to your coach, take away what works for you and spend some time fine tuning and practice on it 🎾🌟

I know , this one has been around for a while but old stuff is good and they keep popping up in my head 🤩

This one has actually given me loads of good foundations for my speed & quickness throughout my tennis & padel journey. I also has some fun with our groups / teambuilding activities where 2 /2 can keep busy doing some fun reps between ball feeding exercises 🎾
