Back in 2010, a group of Swedish helicopter pilots decided they had had enough of the lack of quality and design in helmets, flight suits and other personal safety equipment intended for helicopter professionals. They started to collect data among their colleagues, and pretty soon there were a whole team of designers, high technology suppliers and medical researches bent o
n solving the most critical issues. The mission statement was to create a global brand – by and for helicopter professionals – that can develop and deliver premium, hi-tech and user centered products to the global helicopter community. Always responsible for other peoples’ lives and limbs, and likewise accountable for the safe transfer of expensive equipment; helicopter pilots & crew are highly specialized multi-taskers who need to be alert at all times. Quite frankly, everyone benefits to keep these men and women safe, snug and alert while on the job. And it is in this sprit that AUK Protection was founded. It is an endeavor that aligns itself with the users to develop a full range of personal safety equipment for helicopter professionals.
