We are pleased to announce that the CCG station Québec are now performing their operations wearing the new AUK Protection Flight Suit FR.
The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) station Québec is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient maritime navigation in the region, which includes the St. Lawrence River, the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and other waterways in Québec. The Coast Guard provides services such as search and rescue, icebreaking, environmental response, aids to navigation, and vessel traffic management. The Québec region is vital for Canada's commercial shipping routes, and the Coast Guard ensures safe and sustainable maritime operations, supporting both economic activity and environmental protection.
The CCG works closely with other governmental agencies, local communities, and international partners to address challenges like ice conditions, shipping safety, and environmental risks in the region's waters. Around 70% of the arctic operation from icebreaker are flown with helicopters and crew out of the Québec base.
