Met my ex boss yesterday at Changi airport. The company is recruiting again. She was inviting me to consider to work again. I humbly thanked her for the invite and will revert to her shortly. I was retrenched by the same company about 2 years ago when travel was so badly hit by the pandemic. I never thought I would be retrenched and now being offered a job again in the same company🙇‍♀️ After the retrenchment, I have realized no matter how hard you worked, no job is secured. We should seriously look for another passive source of income. Have a plan B to protect ourselves from any unexpected incidents. I am blessed to have found my plan B🦋🌻💐

🌿🍁 I am happy because you are ☘️🍁

TBH, I seldom cook for my daughter, when she was younger, due to my long hours of work

I had this guilt feelings for not being present for her for the longest time

Now, as much as possible, I just want to spend my time with her, to be able to cook for her

So when she requested for noodles tonight, she got it

Simple homemade noodles 🍜 just for her

So happy she likes it ☺️

How frequently do we cheer for ourselves🤔

For me ~ almost never

Why not ?

We are good at supporting and celebrating other people; cheering for our favorite singers, celebrating our friends’ success and what not ..

But when it comes to celebrating and encouraging ourselves, we not only fall seriously short - we do the opposite. We look at ourselves in the mirror and pick ourselves apart. We tear ourselves down and argue against our own goals and dreams.

If being loved, encouraged, and celebrated feels so good, if it keeps you going and helps you achieve your goals, then why don’t we do it for ourselves?

It’s time to give ourselves the encouragement we deserve and need 💜❤️💙

Starting from today, look and tell yourself in the mirror “Your dreams matter! You’ve got this! Keep going!”

Say something, do something everyday to build self worth, self esteem, self love and self confidence within ourselves 😍☘️💃🌷

I know I am not tech savvy, I know maybe it’s going to be tough, but hey, let’s do it !

No more excuses; I can’t do it! I am not good in this!

To be honest, no one can help me except myself because nobody is obligated to.

Thanking myself for taking this first step to learn again😊

PS: pray that I can pass the assessment after the course 🙏🤞 I usually got so nervous that I get stomachache during exams 😅

Am I enjoying too much for the past 3 weeks? I asked myself. Perhaps I have been working too hard and neglecting myself in the past years! Now, I want to have the freedom to do whatever I want to do! On a serious note, I still questioned myself: do I deserve indulgence like this? The answer is “I don’t know, seriously!” I have always been frugal on myself so that I can give my family more. My priority is always my family and my gal. Now that my gal has grown up, I think I can do things that I want, not having to feel so guilty, I hope😬

Having said that, my gal is still my BIGGEST WHY I joined this new venture, so that I will be able to have the freedom in terms of financial and time for her.

💞happy mode ACTIVATED💕

Shopping time for the man . Can’t believe we could shop so long, when we decided to eat, most of the stalls are closed !

Came Chinatown for dinner and drinks @ my favorite hangout. Managed to catch up with the manager and so happy to know that he will be retiring and going for long holiday soon👍 Cheers to that good news🥂🥂

On the way home past midnight, car engine suddenly stalled🙈 Car was sent for servicing not long ago! Thank God I am not far from home when the engine stalled😅 (trying to stay positive in situation like this, we can choose to have a positive mindset)

Life is unpredictable, just like this car engine. Today you have a job, tomorrow you might lose it! Now, you are healthy, who know what will happen next! One should think of alternative ways to have another stream of residual income for rainy days, be it something like loss of jobs or loss of health happen and caught you off guard! For me, it’s also that I can have more time for my gal since I couldn’t spend enough time with her when she was younger. How I wish I have found an alternative way years ago! With just a blink of eyes, she has grown up, how time flies! Having said that, it’s never too late. Now, I am able to live life on my own terms.

I am thankful to have found my alternative ways, have you?

There’s no way I was born to work, pay bills and die!

Life is too short. It’s meant to enjoy, explore and to learn new things.

I used to work really long hours at my bistro that I forgot to literally live my life!

I chanced upon an online venture and instinct tells me I need to change. Now, I am able to enjoy the time freedom.

So here I am @ Raffles Town Club .. it’s been a while🤩
