Ever wondered what happens after you drop your clothes off at GreenSquare?

From collection and inspection to sorting and packing, every bag goes through a process before moving on to its next stage.

Clothes that are still wearable can be prepared to re-enter the second-hand market, giving them another opportunity to stay in use.

What you drop off isn’t just an old piece of clothing.
It’s another chance for it to keep going. 💚

Ever wondered whether your old clothes are still suitable for donation? 👕

Reusable clothing doesn’t have to look brand new.

Grade A
Clean, in good overall condition, with no major defects — ready to be worn again.

Grade B
It may show slight fading or minor stains, but if it’s still wearable, it can still have value.

However, clothes that are mouldy, wet, heavily stained, severely yellowed or significantly damaged have a much lower chance of being reused.

So before you donate, take one more look.

Still wearable? Give it a second life with GreenSquare. 💚♻️

Did you know? Your clothes can release microfibres when they’re washed.

Synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon and acrylic can shed tiny fibres through the friction of washing.

These fibres can travel with wastewater into our drainage systems, and some may eventually make their way into our waterways.

But this doesn’t mean we should wash our clothes less.

Instead, we can care for them better:

🧊 Choose lower-temperature washes when suitable
🌀 Avoid unnecessarily long or harsh wash cycles
☀️ Reduce unnecessary high-heat drying
👕 Take good care of your clothes and wear them for longer

The longer a garment stays in use, the more value we get from it.

How many pieces in your wardrobe have you only worn once?

Most of us don't buy clothes because we need them.
We buy them because they're on sale, trending, or simply too tempting to ignore.

Next time you're about to check out, pause for a moment.
Fashion isn't about owning more.
It's about loving what you own.

💚 Every thoughtful purchase is one step towards a more sustainable future.

Sometimes, it's not the clothes that's hard to let go of.

It's the memories stitched into them.

A child's outgrown outfit.
A suit worn on life's biggest occasions.
A dress you've been saving for "someday."

Every piece carries a story.

If it's still in great condition, don't let the story end in your wardrobe.

💚 Donate it to GreenSquare, where every wearable piece gets another chance to be loved, worn, and become part of someone else's story.

Have you ever done any of these before donating your clothes? 👀

We store them "for later", fold them neatly, spray them to smell nice, or pack everything into one big bag.

They all sound helpful…

But they can actually make donated clothes harder to reuse.

Swipe through to see 4 simple changes that can give your donations the best chance of a second life. ♻️💚

A thoughtful donation starts long before your clothes reach the recycling bin.

A few simple steps—washing your clothes, making sure they're completely dry, packing them properly, and checking every pocket—can help protect your donation throughout the collection and sorting process.

These small actions make it easier for every piece of clothing to find a new home and continue its journey.

Swipe through to learn how you can help every donation count. 💚
