BRAND CREATIVITY
What is creativity. As a entrepreneur, one of the toughest thing is to get yourself a LOGO and a WEBSITE name. Creative design process is not difficult - it is necessary. As a owner or entrepreneur, you want to feel good and give something a meaning.

In this process there are few design problems that we face.

Website names
a. Short and easy recall or identify.
b. Cheap names (nowaday top level domain name registrar are becoming mercenary - it can cost you as much as $50,000 for a newly registered website name using .com.
c. Trademarks and protection - The problems of using common fonts and how you can turn them into your personal design and meaning.
d. Creating a narrative.

This is a website name i have created for a SMU classmates who have partnered together to build a Digital Transformation Company - to encourage company building and participation - everyone is encouraged to be creative and choose a name they like and start envisioning what their future will be like.

ITERATIONS WITH RESEARCH.
1. Test the names for recognition and preferences and understand the demographics of these audiences using survey
- without explaining what they mean
- explain what they mean.
2. Use the survey to improve on the name further for stronger brand association.

REMEMBER THE GREAT STORY TELLER LEE DAI SOR?

Most company website I see online today in are without any good .

who aspired to launch a successful website must first design their brand narrative correctly.

BUT I AM BAD AT WRITING STORY?
Frankly if you listen to all the mainstream people telling you about the A-Z of proper "Copy" or story - you will never be able to write a "world class story" - not even the best agency out there can claim to tell your own Company's story better than you do - agree?

To me the best copy is the "AUTHENTIC" you. For friends who know me - I am the "Authentic" "AH LEONG". I am born in the era of the
AH WING , AH MENG, AN LEONG, AH TER , AH SENG , AH LIAN & AH HUEY. If we are ashamed of who we are - than we are nobody.

Today the most successful online selling are not all the "Atas" people who speak to the top 1% customer segment in Singapore. It is the entrepreneurs who had a story to tell, who is original and who connects to the 80% segment who will pay you.

Let's not become "me too" - and find your Blue Ocean.

WHAT IF ONE DAY THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY?

For many - Life is inconceivable without Electricity.........Just as many - Life is inconceivably tough without a Job

Let me share a personal note on how I take action to overcome my difficulties in COVID 19.

BLACKOUT
I had an amazing experience in Sri Lanka during one of my training trips on behalf of Clipsal in the early 2000.

I have just sat down in the hotel restaurant and suddenly it went pitch dark and I couldn't even see my fingers. I was frantically trying to touch everywhere for my phone when I saw a match-stick light up in front of my table and the most beautiful smile of a waiter greeted me as he lit up the candle on my table and assure me everything will be ok as he hand me the menu and dinners will be served as usual.

There was no network as well, as even the telco is down and there is no phone signals but here's the most beautiful thing that you could have wished for - all the people around me smiled at each other - as they began to see each others in the eyes and they give their full attention to the person in front of them. Enjoying the conversation and dinner without the distractions.

LESSON LEARNED
It was a wakeup call for me and in life - we could have many BLACKOUT and we can be ready to enjoy it!
