AMEU is an affiliated union of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Formerly known as Metal Industries Workers' Union (MIWU).

AMEU is an affiliated union under the Singapore National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Establised in 1981 as Metal Industries Workers' Union, the Union was rebranded as Advanced Manufacturing Employees' Union in 2021. It has about 24,000 members up to date.

🎓 On 28th May 2026, AMEU partnered with Institute of Technical Education to engage our management partners on the ITE Work-Study Diploma (WSDip) and Student Internship programmes.

The session explored how companies can:
✅ Build a stronger talent pipeline
✅ Develop future industry talent
✅ Support structured workplace learning
✅ Strengthen long term workforce planning
