Limelight Atelier is honoured to be the Lighting Design Consultant for Royal Group Central, a 27 storey, 47,000 sqm Grade A office tower redefining design excellence in Phnom Penh.

From the façade to the exterior and all interior spaces, we’ve crafted a lighting experience that elevates every step of the user journey.

Recently, we joined our client and the interior design team for a successful visual mock-up review & inspection of the elevator lobby. This is another milestone in delivering world class lighting design in partnership with our client.

Ephemeral was injected with light as it reveals its form after dusk, the challenge of having the perforation and limited mounting space was overcomed with luminaires being placed adequately and inconspicuously. The scenario was simulated multiple times, mocked up, and tweaked and intensity adjusted on site, to blend in with the extreme low illumination in the area; yet stunningly accentuating to visitors.

As dusk falls, the gentle illumination lends a theatrical veil to this artwork, with deliberate lens to reveal the eye, and ears, and soft filters for its features.

It’s not simply placing and selecting lights off catalogues; Careful placement of luminaires and the selection of quality light emitting diodes, fulfilling high matrix of the CRI and colour metrics fidelity in TM-30, to bring out the vibrancy of the colours , allows the intricate Chinese Junk logo of OCBC, stands in its full glory after dusk.
All these in partnership with stakeholders, including the Architects , contractors and lighting vendors’ assistance in multiple mockups.
