Singapore announced the aims to phase out Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles and have all vehicles run on cleaner energy by 2040.

OECD and China are driving up EV ( Electric Vehicle) registration with some countries having the intention to ban ICE vehicle by 2040

What does this spell for Automotive Demand in the future?

We do believed that Asia will be the growing market for Automotive lubricant as the legislation of EV might not happen in a single step. Fuel Economy Hybrid vehicle will be the next big thing and with this, the new viscosity such as 0W-20, 5W-20, 0W-16 will be the next standard in the near future.
