On 29 July, we were privileged to partner with One X Group for the โ€œ๐—ฃ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—”๐—œ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€ ๐—ข๐—ณ๐—ณ: ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—”๐—œ ๐—š๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ปโ€ workshop, turning SMEsโ€™ artificial intelligence ( ) curiosities into a one-page canvas game plan for their business.

SME Centre@SICCIโ€™s business advisor, Mr Viknesh Venga, first set the stage by highlighting the large AI adoption gap between large enterprises and in Singapore. He mentioned that AI adoption provides a competitive advantage for SMEs and how local enterprises should look into moving away from being โ€œAI-reactiveโ€ and needing to monitor every step the AI makes, to collaborating with these tools proactively and allowing them to operate autonomously within human-reviewed boundaries and governance. These autonomies would eventually translate into value for SMEs as it boosts efficiency and reduces the frequency of manual checks.

Mr Joel Koh, Chief Technology Officer from One X Group, then took over the session by pointing out how AI can reduce daily manual tasks and perform actions such as email drafting and consolidating work tasks into a digest that sends directly to mobiles. He encouraged SMEs to review their business models and guided them in a step-by-step process to identify the three most pressing concerns that can be addressed by AI, and how they can use these findings to develop a game plan and improve business efficiency within the next 30 days.
