This week has been a busy week for NPG. It was our honor to receive esteemed officials from the departments of education of the following provinces in China:
1. Hubei (湖北教育厅) - 11 Dec 23
2. Guangxi (广西教育厅) - 13 Dec 23
3. Anwei (安微教育厅) - 15 Dec 23

We shared knowledge about the unique features of our own education systems and engaged in meaningful discussions to promote a deeper understanding of each other. All in all, we have established a good connection with each department to set the stage well for our future collaborations!

This week, we hosted 30 delegates from Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute (陕西工业职业学院）and 20 delegates from Shaanxi Energy Institute (陕西能源职业学院）at Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 21 to 23 August 2023.

The delegates visited our Dialogue-in-the-Dark (DiDSG), our Aerospace Hub in the School of Engineering (SoE), and attended a half-day programme on Design Thinking. Separately, the delegates from Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute spent half-a-day at our School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology (LSCT) to be introduced to Landscape Design and Horticulture Management. Our delegates from Shaanxi Energy Institute on the other hand were given a guided tour of our Lien Ying Chow Library (LYCL) and Environmental and Water Technology Centre of Innovation (EWTCOI).

Sincere appreciation to all our colleagues who have given their valuable time and effort to host our delegates, and ensure that they have a meaningful and memorable learning experience in Ngee Ann Polytechnic!

We hosted 14 delegates from Hubei Polytechnic Institute (湖北职业技术学院）and 16 delegates from Hubei Shipbuilding Vocational College (湖北船舶职业学院）at Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 11 to 16 August 2023. During this time, the delegates underwent learning activities in Dialogue-In-The-Dark. In addition, they received experiential learning on design thinking with School of Design, healthcare management with School of Health Science, and transport & marine offshore engineering with School of Engineering. Our sincere appreciation to all the staff who have given their time to host the delegates to make their experience in NP a meaningful and memorable one!

We were pleased to host 8 delegates from Huanggang Polytechnic College（黄冈职业技术学院）on 1 and 2 August 2023. On the first day, the delegates were taken on a quick introduction to Design Thinking, showcasing some of the innovation products developed in-house by our staff and students. This was followed by visits to our Lien Ying Chow Library, School of Engineering and Robotic Research and Innovation Centre, and Environment & Water Technologies Centre of Innovation on the second day. A big shout-out to all our colleagues who were involved in hosting our delegates!
