The significance of pre-need funeral planning ...

No one likes to talk about death, let alone plan for it. In many families, discussing one's mortality is an extremely uncomfortable topic. It is a topic that should be discussed and planned for, well in advance of a person's death.

1) Pre-planning a funeral, relieves ones family of having to make important financial decisions during a period of g

reat stress and grief, when people aren't thinking very clearly and may not know what to do because wishes was never in the first place made known.

2) It's easy to say, "Don't make a fuss. But it is important to realize that the ritual of a funeral and/or memorial service isn't for the deceased but for the living. It should be a celebration of life when friends and family can gather together to grieve openly and to provide support for one another.

3) Pre-planning of funeral arrangement can be informal, and as simple as visiting the Last Goodbye and sharing your wishes with your Guardian or family member.

4) More formal arrangements in the form of a pre-need contract can be set up, pre-funded and managed under Will and Power of Attorney.

5) Pre-planning provides you with peace of mind because you know that your arrangements are ready and pre-funded.

6) By pre-planning your funeral, you can:

- making responsible prior arrangement and not leave them to your family during time of grief;

- making your own wishes known the greatest gift of life;

- controlling cost of funeral and protection from inflation against any future incremental expenses ;

- ensuring personal records are organized, kept and easily accessible for your survivors to locate

A life plan is a rough outline of what we intend to happen at different stages of our future lives.

There must be an overall roadmap for the entire mission, including the entry point (birth), the end point (death), the main goals (life lessons), a series of key landmarks and waypoints along the way to help us stay on track (education, relationships, employment, etc.), and some unforeseen circumstances. This is a plan in case the main plan fails. Our life plans can be defined quite loosely, leaving ample room for exploration and improvisation. Outcomes are always unpredictable.

While we have these plans covering our entire lives, the emphasis is on experiencing life situations "raw" and responding to them in whatever way we choose. Some things we've arranged will happen anyway.

We are open to what we do about things in life. We are free to react with joy or unhappiness. We are free to choose to join or leave. We are free to do what feels right—or not to do it.

You, me, and everyone we meet are choosing our own path. This is the focus of our lives.

To have no plan is to plan for regret when one is powerless. Give yourself complete peace of mind.

🌸 What do you hope your story will be? 🌸

It’s one of life’s beautiful, haunting questions, isn’t it?

Some folks live by the idea that when they’re gone, the chapter closes. And that’s okay.

But then there are those of us who feel a deep, heartfelt pull to leave a little piece of our spirit behind ...not in grand monuments, but in the memories we create, the values we instill, and the love we give so freely.

Me? I’m a legacy builder at heart. I dream of a day when my children might share a story about me ...not about what I achieved, but about who I was. I hope they say, “This is what he believed in. This is how he loved. This is why we still feel his warmth in our hearts.”

Because a true legacy isn’t measured in money or milestones. It’s woven into the fabric of the ones we leave behind ...through laughter around the table, kindness passed along, and quiet wisdom that guides them long after we’re gone.

So I’d love to know…

👉 Do you feel that gentle urge to shape the echo you’ll leave behind?

👉 Or does your focus live completely in the here and now?

There’s no right or wrong answer—only what feels true to your soul. And that choice, more than anything, colors how we choose to live today.
