A life plan is a rough outline of what we intend to happen at different stages of our future lives.
There must be an overall roadmap for the entire mission, including the entry point (birth), the end point (death), the main goals (life lessons), a series of key landmarks and waypoints along the way to help us stay on track (education, relationships, employment, etc.), and some unforeseen circumstances. This is a plan in case the main plan fails. Our life plans can be defined quite loosely, leaving ample room for exploration and improvisation. Outcomes are always unpredictable.
While we have these plans covering our entire lives, the emphasis is on experiencing life situations "raw" and responding to them in whatever way we choose. Some things we've arranged will happen anyway.
We are open to what we do about things in life. We are free to react with joy or unhappiness. We are free to choose to join or leave. We are free to do what feels right—or not to do it.
You, me, and everyone we meet are choosing our own path. This is the focus of our lives.
To have no plan is to plan for regret when one is powerless. Give yourself complete peace of mind.
