Alhamdulillah.

This February, Inkscribed conducted our 2nd Amanah & Faraidh session, organised in collaboration with Ilm Centre.

The session was attended by 16 Muslimah ladies — mostly working professionals aged 40 and above, including both single and married participants — each with one shared intention:
To gain clarity on how Faraidh, Nominations, and Wasiat work together to protect their unique situations.

It was a meaningful and engaging discussion. The questions raised reflected a deep sense of responsibility — not just towards wealth, but towards amanah and family.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to guide this group of Muslimah in understanding how proper planning complements Faraidh, rather than replaces it.

We look forward to our next Amanah & Faraidh session next month, insyaAllah.

Alhamdulillah, last night’s session “Amanah, Faraid & Protecting Your Family After Death” went really well!

What stood out to me the most was this:

👉 Almost 90% of the attendees were from our intended group — working parents and educators.

People who are responsible, thoughtful, and genuinely concerned about doing things correctly for their families.

Many shared that this was the first time they clearly understood:

• How Amanah complements Faraid
• Why Faraid alone may not always address real-life family needs
• What families often overlook when planning for their spouse & children

This wasn’t a sales session — just clarity, awareness, and honest conversations.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with your time and questions.

May this knowledge become a form of amanah for all of us.

More sessions like this will be organised, especially for working parents and educators.

Many working Muslim parents are responsible people.

We plan our careers.
We provide for our families.
We raise our children with care.

Yet one area is often postponed — not because it is unimportant, but because it feels heavy and uncomfortable.

Amanah does not end with good intentions. In Islam, responsibility includes preparation — so that our family is not left with confusion, hardship, or unresolved matters after we are gone.

Faraid was not revealed to complicate families.
It was revealed to protect them.

These are conversations worth having — calmly, clearly, and with respect for the weight they carry.

Inkscribed Academy will be conducting a course on Fiqh of Estate Planning. This program is designed to equip professionals, lawyers, realtors and financial advisors with a solid understanding of Islamic principles and the wisdom behind key estate planning tools such as Hibah and Nomination.

INKSCRIBED ACADEMY is honoured to have had the opportunity to contribute to MINDS’ community by conducting a 2-hour talk on Faraidh, Estate Planning, and Legal Will Writing for Caregivers of Individuals with Special Needs.

We were pleased to welcome a full house of engaged attendees, who expressed great appreciation for the insightful sharing by our Estate Planner, Mr Abdul Syakur, on the wisdom behind Faraidh laws and the importance of holistic planning in the event of death.

We were also privileged to be joined by our partner from Astute Legal, Ms Rabia Mahmood, whose expertise in legal will writing for Muslim families, along with her sharing of real-life case studies involving mental incapacity, was both eye-opening and impactful.
