Is Your Interior Designer Just a Salesman?
We've all heard of the horror stories that come from home renovation journeys. If you haven't heard of any than count yourself lucky but stay around long enough and keep your ears tuned in and you're bound to catch wind of something going wrong with either a family's home renovation, a close friend's carpentry issues or maybe even your own home's water proofing that was completed 3 months ago which has now started leaking through to the neighbour's house below.
Given that there's so much to know - starting with the conceptualising of the space, space planning, future planning, material selection, design drawings, budgeting and then the actual production works which has it's long list of processes, some firms these days hire sales people with little or no experience to service home owners! This is true even for the larger more reputable interior design firms. If you think you're paying top dollar, for top service and top designs... think again.
