SG Recycle

SG Recycle Rewarding recycling for a sustainable future using AI, EVs & robotics.

SGRecycle Pte Ltd was founded when we noticed Singapore’s aging trash collectors' declining ability to gather rubbish and Singaporeans' growing interest in sustainability. We're proud to offer our users cash for their trash and, with our growing network of paper, textile and e-waste recycling machines, it's now even easier and more rewarding to do your part in creating a sustainable nation. With m

ore than 100 machines online across island nation, we aim to help everyone enjoy recycling. To increase the effectiveness and user satisfaction of waste collection, we are incorporating automation and data into our business practices, using robotics, artificial intelligence, and zero-emission electric vehicles. We're committed to creating a cleaner environment for future generations, and hope you'll join us in this effort!

Have you ever heard of homogeneous recycling?🤔

Homogeneous recycling involves the processing of materials that are uniform and consistent in their composition. This approach to recycling offers several key benefits:

1. Produce higher-quality of recycled materials
Recycling homogeneous materials ensures higher purity and consistency in the recycled output, leading to better quality products that are ideal for re-manufacturing. For example, pure PET bottles can be recycled into high-quality PET products without contamination.

2. Enhance efficiency in recycling processes
Homogeneous recycling reduces the need for extensive sorting, making the process more energy-efficient and cost-effective.

3. Minimize contamination
The risk of cross-contamination from different materials is significantly lower. As a result, products made from homogeneous recycled materials tend to be of higher quality and have fewer defects.

4. Increase market value
High-quality, homogeneous recycled materials are in higher demand and command a higher market value, making them more desirable for manufacturers. This increased efficiency and quality also boost profitability for recycling companies.

5. Reduce environmental pollution
By improving recycling rates, homogeneous recycling decreases the amount of waste sent to landfills, thereby reducing environmental pollution and the overall carbon footprint.

6. Conserve natural resources
Homogeneous recycling supports a more effective circular economy by enabling products to be recycled into new items, maintaining a closed-loop system and reducing the need for raw material extraction.

Let's start doing homogeneous recycling!♻

Did you know that the fashion industry is the second largest consumer of the world's water supply? The production process uses an enormous amount of water, contributing to water scarcity in some regions.

We can make a difference by embracing sustainable fashion practices:
1. Give your unwanted clothes a second life by donating them to a donation center or repurposing them into something new, like a tote bag or scarf.👜🧣
2. Purchase second-hand clothes by thrifting.
3. Repair and re-wear your garments.🪡
4. Recycle your unwanted fabric using our textile recycling machines available at the following locations:
-- 116 Bedok North Road
-- Design Orchard
-- 306A Woodlands St 31
-- Blk 562 Choa Chu Kang St 52

Earth Hour is a global annual event that brings people together with a common purpose: to promote awareness about critical environmental challenges, including climate change and the loss of nature.

During Earth Hour, individuals across the world are encouraged to power down their non-essential lights and appliances for one hour, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time. This symbolic gesture represents a commitment to our planet.

In the previous year, supporters from more than 190 countries and territories collectively contributed over 410,000 hours towards benefiting our planet. This year, let's amplify the impact even further with the initiative. Join us in dedicating 60 minutes to meaningful actions that benefit our environment.

Together, we can make a substantial difference for the planet.🌎

William Ruckelshaus was an American lawyer and government official who served as the first head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 1970 to 1973 and from 1983 to 1985. In 1990, he was quoted in Business Week saying: "Nature provides a free lunch, but only if we control our appetites."

This quote by William Ruckelshaus, implies that nature provides us with essential resources without asking anything in return, but they are finite. If we use them uncontrollably, they will deplete. Therefore, we need to balance between human needs and the needs of the planet, use these resources sparingly, and value their existence.
