You’ll find these red pods tucked into a corridor at BeyondX - soundproof, air-conditioned, with free WiFi and power sockets. Built by Burztech, they’re designed to bring functional workspaces into places like void decks, construction sites, or schools.

Here in the Lab, they’re a reminder of what could happen when the right startups cross paths.

GoRental's battery systems can power a Burzt pod for up to 3 days - no cables, no wall sockets. Pair the two, and suddenly this pod doesn’t just work in BeyondX, it can work anywhere.

It’s not a conference. It’s not a trade show. And it’s definitely not just another activation.

It’s the moment the Living Lab opens up to the public, to partners, and to press. We’re curating tech that fits into the rhythms of daily life - how we live, how we work, how we play. Smart environments, AI tools, retail experiments, mobility, mixed-reality and all the things you can actually try, not just hear about.

We’re curating early-stage startups and product teams who are ready to show real work in progress. We’re also welcoming investors, brands, collaborators, and anyone curious enough to come see where things are headed.

There’s no single definition of what a “tenant” looks like at BeyondX Lab. Some build software. Some create experiences. Others bring the tools that help everything else run.

GoRental.SG keeps things powered. From tech demos to outdoor builds, their portable systems deliver clean energy with no fuel, no noise, and no mess. They’ve supported field ops for Mindef, SPF, and SCDF, and kept festivals, medical centres, and emergency setups running off-grid.

At BeyondX, GoRental.SG gets to show what portable power looks like in action - working alongside other teams, supporting live demos, and helping rethink how things get built and tested.

Some offices have coffee machines. Ours? A 3D printer that anyone can use.

Cool stuff’s never more than a few steps away inside the Lab and this one’s always fun to stumble across. It’s open to all tenants, whether you’re prototyping something serious or just messing around to see what it can do.

Every team here brings something different to the mix. For MyrLabs, it’s been everything from live demos of some of their exciting projects to impromptu tutorials and yes, that Star Wars model under the printer? Also theirs. But don’t ask us how it got there.

Turns out, lunch makes a surprisingly good format for working things out.

Last week, we kicked off our new BeyondX Afternoon Luncheon Series at the Lab - a small group, open conversation, and a walkthrough of what we’ve been building, with time to hear what others are exploring too. The conversations were sharp, honest, and full of the kind of questions that don't always surface on stage.

This definitely isn’t a one-off. Look forward to a regular series with guest speakers, thought-led topics, and a space to talk tech, share thinking, and figure out how we can move forward together.

The Lab felt alive last week - a day that saw us ink a two-way MoU with PropTech Farm to incubate their Fund III startups, while unlocking funding pathways for BeyondX members.

By evening, the Fund III launch (co-hosted with BETA) brought founders, investors, and partners into focused conversation, aligned not just on where the industry’s heading, but what it will take to build real momentum.

Einstein’s words are a reminder that knowledge helps us make sense of the world as it is, but imagination allows us to reconfigure it entirely.

At BeyondX, we see imagination not as a lofty ideal, but as a practical tool, one that helps us design systems, technologies, and experiences that respond to the needs of real people in real environments. The Lab gives us the space to ask better questions, to challenge assumptions, and to experiment with ideas that don’t yet have a clear precedent.
