Packaging for rare whiskies has experienced a surge in creative innovation in recent years as collectors look to enhance their value and appeal. Packaging and bottling is something we at Stewart & Robertson place a strong emphasis on for value enhancement and a reason we offer such bespoke services.

Sotheby's has been driving this market, significantly investing in packaging design and collaborating with renowned architects.

Unlike wine, whisky can maintain its condition even when placed on a display shelf in a collector’s home, so the allure of a bottle can lie in how it looks.

Whisky makers like Macallan and Glenrothes are working with artists and architects on innovative packaging that’s proving a hit with buyers.

Demand for aged whiskies continues to skyrocket, with The Balvenie's latest release going for over 𝗨𝗦𝗗 𝟱𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲.

The Balvenie released an exclusive 50-year-old aged whisky from its collection: The Balvenie Fifty Second Edition to capitalize on rising global demand for aged whisky. With only 97 bottles available worldwide it is currently being sold upwards of USD 55,000 per bottle. Each bottle comes in a hand-blown glass in a custom-crafted wooden case featuring 14-carat gold-plated brass accents.

We foresee prices rising further for across aged Scotch as demand for whiskies over 35 years in age far outstrips supply.

The Balvenie has released the second installment of its most exclusive trilogy, with only 97 bottles of this 50-year-old Scotch whisky available worldwide.
