✨ MISSION FIRST ✨

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. — 1 Timothy 1:14

Just Wednesday…

“Carolyn! Carolyn! It’s your turn for worship!”

Oops! I had completely forgotten. 😅

My boss smiled and said,
“Just share about your recent mission trip!”

And so we began with worship — Like a Rose, There Is None Like You, and O Gentle Savior, Do Not Pass Me By.

Then came the opportunity to share about our mission in Medan.

Together with about 70 university staff, we used experiential group dynamics and group processes to explore:

🌿 The Beatitudes
❤️ Identity in Christ
✨ Vision in Christ
🚀 Their next chapter of mission and purpose

It was beautiful watching people discover, connect and envision what God might be calling them into next.

My colleagues even got a glimpse of the beautiful university campus. Afterwards, a few came up to me and said:

“One day, we hope to join you on a mission too!”

What a joy! Mission can become contagious when people see faith come alive.

I’m grateful to Dr. Rexon, a fellow ASI contemporary, for the invitation. And I’m thankful for a boss who has graciously allowed me, from time to time, to step away from work commitments for conventions and mission trips — with one familiar reminder when I return:

“Share it at worship!” 😊

Perhaps that is the beauty of Mission @ Work.

Mission is not only somewhere far away.
It comes home with us.
It enters our workplace.
It touches our colleagues.
And it inspires someone else to say:

“Maybe I can go too.”

God blesses us so that we can bless others — wherever He places us.
