Recently, days feels like they’re happening so quick.

Like, I was just enjoying my new title as a fiancĂ© (so yeah, that happened) and boom đŸ’„ it’s already May 8th đŸ«Ł

I almost forgot that 4 years ago I decided to finally started The Homebased Worker.

This coming weekend, our Ops is paying me visit here in Singapore 😎 (cross fingers that next time it will be the whole team!)

and this coming August, it will be our second year since we relocated in Singapore.

Like seriously, the “it’s not enough” feeling can creep up so easily, especially when you’re in the middle of day to day in your business.

But daaaang
I’ve built a business that allowed me to relocate to a different country and that allowed me to fly a team member from Dubai to SG. đŸ«Ł

and for four years, I’m still in love with what I/we do. (I mean, I was already pretty bored when I was in my 9-to-5 after a year)

Everyday, I still get to learn new things.

Automate sh*t, Integrate this and that, and create new templates or whatever đŸ€Ł

as I’m writing this, all I can think about is “wow, I did that?” đŸ€ŻđŸ€ŻđŸ€Ż

If ever you’re feeling that you haven’t been achieving enough, just look back — you’ve gone far already.

like what our Creative Lead reminded me some time ago, don’t be too hard on yourself, running a business is not easy. 😉

“I have to do it myself for it to be done right”

“They just don’t get it”

These are common thoughts I personally had when I was starting The Homebased Worker.

That feeling when you know you’re drowning with a list of never ending to do’s so you try to get help but you feel like they’re not doing it they way you would do it.

Yeah, that frustration. đŸ«Ł

It’s common, there’s so much uneasiness with not knowing the granular details.

There’s so much fear in not having a full control of something.

It’s a phase, it will pass, but you need to muscle through all the tendencies of you going back to doing it all by yourself again.

I know because it happened to me.

If I didn’t let my VA before do her thing, I would have been still at $5/hr contracts.

If I explained to my Account Manager the whole project scope, why is this connected to that, I would have still been taking meetings on the car rides.

If I did not teach my thought process to my OBM, I wouldn’t have the capacity to sign one more client.

If I did not share the little things that I’m doing, my frustrations, and what I would love to be done to my Operations Manager, I probably won’t be able to execute anything in the interest of The Homebased Worker.

What I’m saying is
for that “support” to work for you, you also need to laydown the ground work and think about what will you do with the new found time/energy/calendar space.

Because you can delegate it. You can take that off your plate. You can stop worrying about.

Just that .. for first timers
for those who had a lot to lose when this business doesn’t work, it will feel uncomfortable.

Oh, in case I forgot to mention, that VA, Account Manager, OBM, Ops Manager? She’s the same person! She has been and is continuously growing with me and the business.

Been there, done that, fixed that.

Too much compartmentalization can also bring you extra chaos and things left undone.

I used to swearby my reminders app for everything thing I need to do. It worked when it was just me. Then, I moved to Trello, it worked until I had way too many boards, then I went to Asana, which my clients use to this day but dang there’s damn.too.many workspaces 😂

The key here is to centralize and categorize. It’s so much easier to build a follow through, when you have visibility to everything that needs your attention.

It's time for a reality check: If you're still the one handling your invoices, agreements, and all those admin tasks, we need to talk.

These tasks are basic enough that delegating them should be a no-brainer!

But I get it.

As business owners, we tend to fear other people not doing it right. And we also fear the prospect of stepping into bigger roles for us.

But here's the solution, and it's simpler than you might think. You need to reach a state of peace, knowing these tasks will be handled just as well—if not better—by someone else.

This confidence frees you to focus on what really matters: the strategic, high-impact work that propels your business forward.

The real secret is in SOPs and Documentation,

This includes everything from the steps they need to take, to the considerations they should keep in mind, and the thought process behind each decision.

Simply telling someone how to do something is a recipe for forgetfulness. But having a solid guide that everyone can follow keeps all processes seamless and eliminates the need for you to be on top of everything.

So, if you're still micromanaging your invoices and agreements, let's make a change.

Comment down "SOP" and I'll share with you how.

LISTEN: Without a clear, well-defined project, even the most useful management tool can turn into just another list of business clutter.

If you’ve been one to keep switching project management platforms and STILL have trouble keeping track of everything - well

The tool isn’t the issue, maybe it’s YOU.

So don’t be shocked: The magic isn't in the tool itself, but in how you use it.

Having been able to work with so many women business owners, I know these issues by heart!

I'm sharing my latest insights on why jumping from one platform to another isn't the answer.

So, before you go on another app spree, take a breath, take a step back, and let's talk strategy. Swipe through to learn more!

After automating gazillion processes and workflows (I'm exaggerating ofcourse!) I can tell you that's there are so many things that I personally opted to delegate rather than automate, because automating it doesn't makes sense and provides a bad experience.

So many coaches I have worked with think they can just whip out an automation and call it a day. But often, they'll realize that automation just complicates what was simple because they don't have a standardized process to begin with. đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž

Here's the thing, you need to have an iron clad process first, then you automate.
