Last week, Alternō had the pleasure of welcoming the 임팩트스퀘어 - ImpactSquare team to our office and production facility ☺️

For those who may not know, Impact Square is one of South Korea's leading impact venture capital firms and accelerators. As pioneers in sustainability and a strategic partner to major international organizations like the UNDP, they are dedicated to discovering and backing breakthrough climate-tech solutions.

Having supported Alternō since our very first funding round, they have visited us in our earlier days, making this return trip incredibly meaningful. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to show the Impact Square team our new workspace, our scaled-up operations, and just how much our Sand Battery solution has matured and evolved since then.

Last week marked a very special milestone as the strategic acceleration program GO AUSTRIA Spring officially came together with ViennaUP 2026, one of Europe’s major innovation festivals. The occasion was even more meaningful as it also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Global Incubator Network Austria

Looking back on a decade of impact, GIN has created strong and tangible value for the global tech startup community. From an initiative of the Austrian Federal Government, the network has successfully connected hundreds of outstanding startups, opened up opportunities to commercialize solutions in Europe, and helped drive venture capital toward sustainable deep-tech innovations.

As one of 56 representatives from 7 countries selected to join GIN’s largest anniversary edition to date, Alternō CEO Hai Ho had a truly meaningful and hands-on week in the heart of Vienna 🌟

The Vietnam Innovation and Private Capital Summit 2026 (VIPC 2026) has officially taken place at an impressive scale, bringing together hundreds of financial institutions, international PE/VC funds, leading economists, and policymakers.

The event was honored to welcome Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Văn Thắng, whose keynote message carried strong significance for the investment community:

“The Government of Vietnam is committed to standing alongside businesses and investors in the spirit of ‘harmonized interests, shared risks’; continuing to strongly improve the business and investment environment, while protecting the legitimate rights and interests of investors.”

This was perhaps one of the most powerful messages of the forum setting the tone for the next wave of capital flowing into Vietnam.

In the context of the green transition, the macro-level discussions also made the future capital structure clearer: public capital from the Government can play the role of catalytic capital, creating the initial foundation and reducing early-stage risks, while flexible private capital infrastructure will become the key lever to unlock a new wave of industrial growth.

This shift was also reflected in the newly released Vietnam Innovation & Private Capital Report 2026, where climate technology - together with AI and globally oriented business models - has emerged as one of the core pillars attracting venture capital and shaping the strategic sectors prioritized by the country.
