2019 was an amazing year with client engagements across 35 countries, executive workshops and C-level mentoring.

The global journey was packed with keynote speaks and moderation roles for Fortune 100 companies, family firms and government institutions.

I also spent significant time at INSEAD teaching executive programs, mentoring executive and next generation students from global family businesses and contributing to our Wendel Family Business Centre.

Our INSEADer of the Month for January 2019 is Martin Roll MBA’99D, Founder of Martin Roll Company. He is a strategy advisor to Fortune 100 companies, a global thought-leader and experienced mentor to CEOs.

Martin advises clients on strategy and transformation, leadership, family business strategy and global branding. He is a Distinguished Fellow and an Entrepreneur in Residence at INSEAD where he plays an active role in our Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise and acts as a mentor to MBA students and executive education programme participants. His expertise in family business will be showcased in his upcoming book ‘Family Business Strategy’.

A former Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, Martin has been active in Asia for over two decades. He is a Senior Advisor to Cocoon Capital, a leading early-stage venture fund in South East Asia. He teaches MBA, EMBA and executive education programmes at Nanyang Business School in Singapore, and is the author of ‘Asian Brand Strategy’.

Martin is a frequent guest lecturer at INSEAD, ESSEC and other leading global business schools. He is also a frequent speaker and moderator at business conferences worldwide, a facilitator for executive workshops, and co-author of ‘The Future of Branding’.
