Is REIT still an attractive equity investment with a change in working norm?

I've heard from webinars and youtube channels about stock investing that investment in REIT is a safe choice that generate attractive (for non-sophisticated investors) and stable payout of c.5-6%. I'm skeptical as their basis is based on past results which may not be repeated. REIT essentially relies on rental income to generate returns. Given the change in working style, it is best to avoid REIT that focus on offices, retail and business park properties. REITS that focus on cloud server space would probably do fine but their price seems high. What do you guys think? Do share your comments! :)

So happy to receive a text from a client whom we represent as his M&A advisor in selling his business 2 years ago that the buyer has finally agreed to the earnout! At one point, we thought our client would lose the earnout (worth over $400K) based on the audited accounts.

On surface, client was just short of the required EBITDA for the earnout. Our team asked for the detailed management accounts and meticulously went through every single expense item in search for "non-recurring" expenses, timing errors which auditors deem immaterial and redundant provisions. The outcome was the adjusted earnings exceeded the required target!

This final adjustment brings a closure to a 2-year journey representing our seller client as his M&A advisor. It certainly helps if your M&A Advisor is also a chartered accountant and qualified business valuer. Looking forward to a good lunch treat as promised by client!

Personally, its a privilege and honour to serve clients who entrust their business built over their entire work life to us to get maximum value. A very long but exremely satisfying journey....

We are 7 years this month! Happy anniversary to FSC!

We started our journey in Jun'13 providing only CFO solutions. Our mission has always been to partner clients in their growth journey. Recognising that M&A is a powerful growth strategy, we soon expanded our offerrings to Valuation and M&A to offer more value.

This year, via collaboration with our partners, we are capable of not just helping clients complete deals at optimal value but also to preserve value by addressing the often neglected post acquisition leadership and talent management issue.

It has been a long and tough 7 years journey as we started with virtually zero client and have to build our network from stretch. Seeing happy clients coming back to us is our strongest encouragement and keeps us going! Thank-you to all our clients and business partners for your continual support!

We will be 7-year old next month! To celebrate the occassion, we have refreshed our logo to give it a more modern look. Not a drastic change as the original thoughts remain relevant today, that is, soaring to new heights with our clients, as dipicted by the soaring origami.

The new logo is in bolder font, and in darker blue, a choice that symbolises trustworthiness, confidence and resilience in helping clients to succeed.

The words "Business Advisory" have been dropped from the logo as our solutions have expanded to include Valuation and M&A advisory with more partners joining us. Feeling sense of accomplishment helping a client obtained EP successfully despite the company being just 1-year old and loss making. FSCBA submitted a strong business case, highlighting the expanison plan using Singapore as the HQ and jobs that our client are going to create for Singaporeans. We are glad to be retained by out client to support their ex*****on of the expansion plan :)

A great initiative to help SMEs manage working capital needs. Startups with revenue should also explore this option as an alternative to bridging loans or other convertible instruments that have dilutive effect on their equity.

Starting from Wednesday (Jun 1), small and medium enterprises in Singapore will be able to apply for unsecured term loans of up to S$300,000 each.
