Friendship through Clean-Ship Service-Learning Project | 25 January 2026 | PAssion Wave @ Sembawang

As part of Tee Up’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, Republic Polytechnic Service-Learning Club students, in collaboration with PPT Lodge 1A, organised the “Friendship through Clean-Ship” service-learning project, with support from North West CDC through the Giraffe Fund.

Participants paddled along the Sembawang waterways, collecting plastics, cans, and other debris. Through this hands-on experience, they witnessed firsthand the impact of litter and learnt the importance of responsible waste disposal. By working side by side, residents and RP student volunteers strengthened teamwork, built mutual understanding, and fostered a shared sense of community ownership.

Many participants described the activity as both enjoyable and eye-opening, gaining a deeper appreciation of how small actions can create meaningful environmental impact.

We look forward to more collaborative initiatives with RP and North West CDC that bring together residents and youth volunteers to strengthen environmental responsibility, friendship, and community spirit.

January Birthday 2026 | 11 January 2026 | PPT Lodge 1A

In January 2026, we came together to celebrate our residents’ birthdays with a fun-filled and meaningful session! The day featured four interactive games, with the highlight being the icebreaker “Burst the Balloon”, which had residents from different nationalities laughing, making new friends, and reminiscing about joyful school-day memories.

Our Resident Engagement Team (RET) also hosted a fun quiz with images and simple crossword-style questions, introducing basic English.

The celebration was made even sweeter with cake-cutting games, bringing smiles and laughter throughout the session.

Looking ahead, we are excited to introduce more traditional games planned by our residents, sharing cultural experiences and creating lasting memories together.

Here’s to more joyful celebrations and meaningful connections!

NTUC Care & Share CSR Programme | 10 January 2026 | Jalan Kayu Homes

On 10 January 2026, 5 of our Resident Support Leaders (RSLs) and our Tee Up Maintenance Team volunteered alongside the Migrant Workers’ Centre (MWC) to support the NTUC Care & Share CSR Home Cleaning and Painting Programme at Jalan Kayu Homes.

The volunteer session lasted around five hours, during which the team carried out home cleaning and assisted with light painting of household walls and ceilings. Through teamwork and hands-on effort, the volunteers helped create a cleaner, more comfortable living environment for the residents.

We are proud of the volunteer team for their contribution to this initiative and look forward to participating in more community-focused efforts together.

New Year’s Eve Festival | 31 December 2025 | PPT Lodge 1A

On 31 December 2025, we brought the community together for a vibrant New Year’s Eve Festival at PPT Lodge 1A!

Residents enjoyed an exciting evening filled with live performances, delicious food and drinks, and festive activities that created a lively and joyful atmosphere as we counted down to the new year together. The energy, laughter, and shared moments truly reflected the strong sense of community at PPT Lodge 1A.

We were thrilled to welcome 2,000+ residents, all coming together to celebrate, connect, and usher in the new year on a high note,

Christmas & December Birthday Celebration | 25 December 2025 | PPT Lodge 1A

On 25 December 2025, our Resident Engagement Team (R.E.T.) organised a fun-filled Christmas and December birthday celebration for our residents at PPT Lodge 1A!

Our very own Santa Claus delighted residents by giving out sweets and chocolates, while participants enjoyed festive presents, Christmas hats, and exciting games that brought laughter and joy to everyone.

We also celebrated our December birthdays with their all-time favourite birthday cake, making the day even sweeter and memorable for our celebrants.

We ended the celebration with a karaoke session, where residents took turns to sing and enjoy the festive spirit together.

International Migrants Day | 21 December 2025 | PPT Lodge 1A

We celebrated International Migrants Day 2025 at PPT Lodge 1A with a joyful and meaningful gathering.

Students from Republic Polytechnic Service-Learning Club and Nanyang Junior College designed and facilitated engaging games that encouraged interaction and connection with our residents The laughter and positive energy reflected the strong bonds shared during the event.

The celebration was made even more special with performances by our PPT1A resident singer, a lively dance performance by the Society for the Aged Sick nurses’ group, and an impressive strength showcase by our PPT1A resident bodybuilders and powerlifters, which received enthusiastic support from everyone present.

We concluded the day with an exciting lucky draw, bringing smiles to many faces. Special thanks to our volunteer-driven group, the Resident Support Leaders, for their support in event coordination and ensuring the smooth flow of activities throughout the day.

Taste of Home 3.0 – Battle of the Chicken Curry | 20 October 2025

On 20 October 2025, our annual cooking competition, Taste of Home 3.0, returned with this year’s exciting theme: Battle of the Chicken Curry! Held during Deepavali, the event brought a lively culinary showdown.

Competitors from Bangladesh, India, and Thailand went head-to-head to win the top three cash prizes, with the grand prize being $500. The competition was fierce, flavourful, and full of energy!

A big thank you to our generous sponsors: Singarangoli, with special thanks to Mr and Mrs Mohan for sponsoring fresh vegetables, and to our local Singapore residents for contributing chicken, Ponni, and Jasmine rice for the event.

Our esteemed judges included local Singaporean and overseas F&B business owners, who carefully tasted and evaluated each dish, making the final decisions for the winners.

Congratulations to all participants and winners and thank you to everyone who made Taste of Home 3.0 a delicious and memorable event!

National Day Fitness Challenge @ PPT Lodge 1A | 9 August 2025

On National Day, our Resident Engagement Team organized PPT1A Fitness Challenge across different blocks. Residents took on sit-ups, pull-ups, wall challenge, longest plank, and push-ups, showing amazing strength and determination. Winners walked away with cash prizes and free haircuts from Barber Coupons.

Every month, our Resident Engagement Team (R.E.T.) makes birthdays extra special for our PPT1A residents! From delicious cakes and thoughtful gifts to exciting excursions, we make every celebration full of joy.

We play games, get creative with arts and crafts, collaborate with our amazing youth volunteers, and organise video calls so residents can connect with their loved ones during the session. Over the months, R.E.T. has brought a variety of memorable and heartwarming experiences to our residents, creating moments they’ll always cherish.
