At 75 years old, he is the last of a fading generation of street barbers, offering fuss-free haircuts at just S$6 a price unheard of in today’s world.

From 8 AM to 6 PM, five days a week, Uncle Tan’s skilled hands work swiftly, giving practical, no-nonsense trims to loyal customers who appreciate simplicity over style trends. No “balayage” or “undercut” here just a solid, traditional cut that has stood the test of time.

For those who step into his chair, it’s more than just a haircut it’s a nostalgic experience, a glimpse into Singapore’s past. As modern barbershops evolve, Uncle Tan remains a living piece of history, keeping the spirit of old-school street barbers alive.
