TechCreate Group was honoured to participate as a Gold Sponsor at Cybersecurity Day 2026, organised by the The Association of Banks in Cambodia on 20 May 2026 at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
Held under the theme, “Strengthening Cybersecurity Resilience in Cambodia’s Banking and Financial Sector,” the event brought together more than 500 representatives from public institutions, regulators, law enforcement agencies, banks and financial institutions, cybersecurity experts, and technology partners to address the evolving risks facing Cambodia’s increasingly digital financial ecosystem.
As highlighted by Mr. Rath Sophoan, Chairman of ABC, trust is the foundation of banking, and cybersecurity is no longer solely a technology issue, but a shared responsibility across leadership, management, and staff. This message strongly resonates with TechCreate’s commitment to supporting secure, resilient, and future-ready digital financial infrastructure.
Representing TechCreate, our Chief Business Officer, Donald Teo, participated as a panelist in the discussion on cybersecurity, system resilience, and emerging technologies within Cambodia’s financial sector.
During the panel session, Donald shared perspectives on:
• Strengthening cybersecurity and system resilience for Cambodia’s digital payment infrastructure, including considerations surrounding the resilience of the Bakong ecosystem.
• Responsible adoption of artificial intelligence within banks, with emphasis on governance, security, risk management, and operational readiness.
At our exhibition booth, TechCreate also showcased our PQC-enabled POS Solution, highlighting the growing importance of preparing payment infrastructure to be quantum resistant. As financial institutions continue to accelerate digitalisation, forward-looking protection of payment systems, transaction integrity, and sensitive customer data will be increasingly critical to maintaining trust and resilience.
TechCreate remains committed to working alongside financial institutions, regulators, industry partners, and technology communities to advance secure digital payments and strengthen cyber resilience across Cambodia and the wider region.
Our sincere appreciation to the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) for organising this important platform for industry collaboration and knowledge sharing.
