A week on from NRF APAC 2026, here's what stood out to us from three days on the floor.
1. AI in retail has moved from concept to implementation.
Questions around our Dynamic Pricing Agent centred on margin protection, approval workflows, and managing the change with store teams.
2. Omnichannel is fundamentally a data problem.
The interest in our Business Central + OneCart integration confirmed that a unified data foundation is what the market is looking for, not just another integration layer.
3. Physical checkout is still a competitive battleground.
For all the focus on digital, the in-store checkout experience remains critically important. Toshiba's frictionless checkout demos drew consistent traffic, particularly from supermarket and convenience retailers for whom speed and uptime are non-negotiable.
4. Sustainability is becoming a procurement criterion.
The Green Zone generated much interest! Eco-friendly materials, low-energy hardware, and recycling programmes are moving from a CSR talking point to a genuine factor in vendor selection.
It was a privilege to represent Cactoz and partner with Toshiba at the region's biggest retail event!
What were your takeaways from NRF APAC 2026? We'd love to hear from you.
