Hi everybody, we are a group of Ngee Ann Polytechnic students currently pursuing a diploma in Business & Social Enterprise!

Life of Darkness is our Final Year Project to advocate for the visually impaired community. 🦮👨🏻‍🦯

We hope that by the end of the simulation, participants will understand the daily challenges and obstacles 👀❌ faced by the visually impaired community.

Additionally, we intend to invite people with visual impairment to share their stories and have a dialogue session with participants. 🗣 Through this, we hope to reduce the stigma 🤐 associated with the visually impaired and shine a light 💡 on their strengths and capabilities.

Lastly, we hope to encourage helpful behaviors 🤲 from the public as they gain a deeper level of empathy towards this community!

Introducing...... “Life of Darkness”! 🥰 🎉

Life of Darkness is our virtual simulation programme that aims to raise awareness for the visually impaired community in Singapore 🦯🇸🇬.

Participants will be able to experience a “life of darkness” where they will gain a deeper understanding of what it's like being visually impaired 😎.

During the simulation, participants will be grouped into groups of 3 to 5 and will go through a storyline 📖🎬.

Assigned with different roles, they will either experience being visually impaired or living with someone with visual impairment. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🏠

At Eyescape, we believe in creating an inclusive community for all. It is the first of its kind to have visual impairment elements integrated into an escape room concept. It is not only a business but also a training facility for the visually impaired and an educational facility for the public.

Blindness does not affect one’s sense of hearing, smell, taste, or touch. However, blind people who learn to use these remaining senses differently to interpret the world around them can lead to things like more sensitive hearing.
