This large experimental piece is one I am very proud of, where the watermark is the drawing, the process of branding a material (as signatures do), becomes the point of departure. We start with the end. I can only applaud and thank the mastery of Gordon, Tai Tien and the paper workshop at .

I have an inexplicable fondness for screens. To peer through a screen — to acknowledge the porosity of pulp, its opaqueness against the thought of possibility seeing through it — is tantalizing. I want to make more of them, so many more, and I have barely scratched the surface of where I can take this.

I had an image of displaying a colourful oil paint on this wall in my mind before I encountered this artwork. When I saw this art piece, I instantly felt mesmerised by its concept, the intricate description and a dreamy yet a bit of horror feel.

Although I acknowledge that an abstract art is generally easier to display for home interior, your affinity with a piece of art is always personal and it is difficult to explain why you like it.

Besides, I’m so glad with the outcome of the beautiful frame by again. For this artwork, I chose a simple rounded solid teak frame which perfectly matches with our flooring and furnitures. 🪵

『プランティング・タイム』
この位置には、色彩豊かな正方形の油絵がいいかなと何となくイメージを持っていましたが、出会いとは突然やってくるものです。3色刷りのリトグラフ。

一般的に抽象画の方がインテリアに取り入れやすいと思いますが、こちらは個性的な具象画。圧倒的な描写力と独特のコンセプト、ドリーミーでありながらちょっと怖い雰囲気に惹かれました。

アートとの付き合い方はさまざまなので、なぜその絵が好きかと問われても、人にわかるように説明するのは難しい。

額装は以前も利用した 。 今回はチークの無垢材を選びました。我が家の床や他の家具ともマッチして、見ても触れてもうっとりしています。
