We are a couple that both love food and making it. We try to cook and bake as much as possible as we can control our ingredients to make our indulgences a little less sinful. Shambearbakes started off with the quest to bake the perfect Suji for Sham who is very picky on the type of Suji he eats. It took Beryl nearly a year to finally perfect the recipe to satisfy Sham’s taste buds. A mild crunch o

n the outside with the tantalising “melt in your mouth” texture on the inside. From crafting the perfect Suji, to many other delightful treats we stick by our principle that we will only sell what we ourselves love. If it’s not good enough for us, it’s not good enough for you. A couple of things that are important to us.

1. We care about the Environment and will do what we can to support Green Initiatives. At Shambearbakes we do our part by:
- not using single-use plastics in our packaging
- using reusable containers or food grade wrapping paper
- offer discounted rates for customers who bring their own container

2. We care about what we put into our bodies. At Shambearbakes our products:
- are handmade from scratch using filtered water and the best available ingredients
- are made without the use of preservatives, artificial colouring, flavours or sweeteners
- are made with halal ingredients as we are Muslim owned

As all our products are made fresh, advance orders are required. For self-collect, pick up will be in the Canberra area which is a shuttlebus away from Sembawang/Yishun MRT. Full address will be provided upon confirmation of order.

Hey, sourdough lovers! 👩‍🍳 I’m Beryl, the face behind the dough here at shambearbakes. I realise I have not introduce myself since I started this in 2019.🍞✨ Life’s a blend of passions, asides from baking fresh and healthy bakes for my bread monsters, I’m more than just a baker!

I would like to share my other loves. Over at , I wear the hat of a childbirth educator and lactation counselor. 🤰💕 Sharing the beauty of birth and breastfeeding is my heart’s calling. It’s all about creating beautiful beginnings and empowering families.

And you know what else? I’m also working as a financial consultant! Because let’s face it, life is a journey, and planning for the future is part of the adventure. 🚀👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Pumpkin Sourdough Soft Bread

My motivation in bread making is so that my little one and hubby (small and big bread monsters) can have fresh bread for breakfast every morning. Hearing them say that the bread is so soft and yummy makes everything worthwhile.

Added minimal salt and sugar in it to ensure their sodium and sugar intake are kept in the healthy range for daily consumption.

Best serve with my thick and creamy nut butter!
