A new era has arrived in the Philippines. Newport World Resorts Chairman Kevin L. Tan and global culinary icon Gordon Ramsay Restaurants set the stage to open Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill PH – the first Gordon Ramsay Restaurant in the Philippines.

“Having personally met Chef Ramsay at The Londoner in Macao, his larger-than-life personality and our shared enthusiasm in opening one of the highly sought-after restaurants in the culinary world, strengthens our position as the most multifaceted integrated resort in the country, leading the way in elevated dining experiences for all our guests,” said Kevin L. Tan.

We've never been to the Philippines before this and it's been such an eye-opening experience exploring the city and it's very cool up and coming scene. Definitely a city worth visiting. We are so grateful for the partnership had a wonderful time collaborating with the team from Newport World Resorts, Ryan Behr and of course our team in London to bring this project to life. Those who know my work, know how I LOVE visual storytelling. They’re time-consuming to produce, they require a certain kind of creative chemistry between you, the artists behind the cameras and the product, then there’s the coordination of it all!

Follow the star team of as we unveil epic black and white portraits of British icons as captured by celebrated photographers Terry O'Neill and Arthur Steel.

Introducing from left to right, the late Sir Sean Connery - the original 007, iconic supermodels Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton and The Rolling Stones frontman, Sir Mick Jagger.

Note: The team had to walk up those stairs a few times, walk around that sphere multiple times and replace + pull those black cloths down 3x! Those portraits were not light either! The girls, our restaurant hostesses, are superheroes in blue 💖 the boys, ok lah, walk in the park! 😉

Six months ago, I was asked to be part of this history-making team with & .behr - to open the highly anticipated Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at Sunway Resort.

is the iconic British chef’s inaugural restaurant in Malaysia and his first outside the United Kingdom - joining the brand’s three existing locations in London’s Mayfair, Chelsea and Park Walk. It also becomes part of the expanding network of , one of the United Kingdom’s largest privately-owned restaurant groups with more than 35 locations worldwide and a total of seven Michelin stars.

This landmark launch also represents the culmination of a US$60 million, ‘once-in-a-generation transformation’ of Sunway Resort, a bold drive to seal its position as Asia’s leading fully-integrated premier hospitality and entertainment destination. The transformation of Sunway Resort is underway and scheduled to reopen in phases from Q2 2022 in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

It’s been quite the ride working alongside some of the industry’s brightest.

It’s the end of the week for us here with and we ended it on a sugar high!

We indulged in The Marshmallowist’s fruit-based ice cream and cookie sandwiches alongside VERY cool tunes from our Resident DJ and it was a fun-filled afternoon in the sun.

Using only the finest fresh ingredients, guests had a treat of a lifetime enjoying delicious toasted vanilla fluff sandwiched between soft, melt-in-your-mouth cookies topped with fresh fruit, chocolate shards and more 💖

…and we blew up almost 900 balloons. Thank you.
