The Government Mountain
I thank God for our ministers and leaders that are governing Singapore. They are men and women of high integrity and high moral values. They serve our Nation selflessly ... spending weekends and weekdays meeting the communities. They seek to serve and help every strata of society. No one is left behind.
Believers must rise up in this "Government Mountain". They should take leadership and responsibilities to ensure that Singapore will always be a Nation Under God - Having Godly Values!

I am in my seventies. I clearly remember those days in the fifties and sixties. Life was simple without all the electronic gadgets that our youth have today. Owning a TY set was a luxury.

I still remember the TV programs that I watched - "Father Knows Best". "I Love Lucy", "Mr Ed The Talking Horse", "My Mother The Car", "Green Acres" ... etc. These were TV programs that promotes family values and clean, wholesome living. They prompted Godly values.

Look at the programs that our youth are being fed today - Violence, S*x, Rebellion, Self Glorification, Self Center behaviors. Our Social Media is full of Fake News. Truths no longer prevail instead falsehood is prevalent. Our Media shapes the mind of our youth.

Believers of God should rise up and take back the "Media Mountain"! Take up Leadership on this Mountain. Report Truths, Speak Up for Truths, Stand Up for Truths. We should push back all the negative, violent, anti social values by promoting respect for each other; respect for the elders. We should promote courtesy, kindness and love for one another. We should promote "Others First" instead of "Me First". Where have all these Godly Values gone to?

We can take back these 7 Mountains and Transform our World.

3. The Family Mountain
4. The Religious Mountain
5. The Business Mountain
6. The Media Mountain
7. The Government Mountain

How To Transform Our Societies and Communities?
Christians must not 'get out' of the world or isolate herself from the world. Christian must be 'in' the world, they must be involve in the world ... in every level and every strata of the societies. They must be the 'Top' and not the 'Bottom'.
Christians should rise up to Leadership! It is from position of Leadership that we can influence and transform our world. Be like a 'Daniel', a 'Joseph' who rose to positions of influence in a pagan society and see how they shape that society. We are not to 'Christianize' society, people will reject it ... but we are to bring back Godly Values and Godly Rules to societies.

This should be our Strategy in transforming the world. We are to advance and transform the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Food for Thought

I am a Preterist. I am not a Futurist ... so "End Time" prophesies does not affect me at all.

When the Bible speaks of "Last Days", it is not speaking of the "End of the Physical World" rather it is speaking of the "End of an Age", the "End of an Era".

The Jews have this concept of "This Age" and the "Age To Come". This Age (the Present Age) is the Mosaic Age and the "Age to Come" is the Messianic Age.

Since the Jews does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, they are still waiting for the Messianic Age to come.

Since, I believed that Jesus is the Messiah ... the Messianic Age has come. The Kingdom of God is Here and Now! His death and resurrection and His 2nd Coming has inaugurated the Kingdom, Here on Earth.

Food For Thought
What did Jesus came to do?

Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many"

Jesus came to serve! Not to be served.
Religion tells us that Jesus need to be served. He is King and He is Lord ... He is to be served. Christianity ends up having countless activities to "Serve" Jesus.

Jesus wants us to "Rest" in what He has done for us. There is nothing more that we can do because Jesus did it all. Enter into "His Rest".

Food For Thought

We often view God from our human perspective. God is Holy, Sovereign. He is All Knowing, All Powerful, All Presence ... He is Lord, King that needs to be worshipped, obeyed, feared ...

But have we thought about viewing God from His own perspective? Viewing God from God's perspective? If God is All Sovereign and He is All Sufficient ... then He does not need anything from us. He does not need our obedience, He does not need even our worship.
Religion tells us to do things to please God.

Jesus, came to present God as "Father". We are to call God "Abba" - Father. Let us view God from a Father's perspective.

As a human father, what do I want from my children? You may have different answers ... but for myself, I want "Nothing" from my children. What I want to see is that my children will grow up to be useful, helpful, responsible human beings that make positive contributions to societies and to the world. They are doing all these for themselves and not for me.

God our Father, does not need us to do anything for Him! What pleases Him is when we grow in maturity, growing in love towards our fellow human beings. Grow and Reflect the Image of God in this world that He has put us into. We grow into different stages of maturity not for God or to please God but for ourselves.

The Father's Perspective - It Is Not About Him But It Is About Us!
Our Father have always have us in His mind. God always think of us.
