It's been ages since we last posted anything here on Facebook! Our website at www.indegox.com has been revamped, we've worked on many more meaningful projects since, and we're looking for more people to join our team!

We're currently looking for a UX/UI design intern who is studying at a university level, and 3rd year or final year students are preferred. We're looking for someone who is passionate about design and people, and has a design portfolio that reflects that.

The internship is part-time for 6 months and will involve working on service design, visual design and UX projects. In this season, this role is almost 100% remote and you can be sure of many Zoom meetings.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised and a great communicator. You will be treated as an equal member of the team and given real responsibilities on projects that span very diverse industries. If you are a great fit for our team, this role can transition into a full-time role.

As this is under a government programme, the candidate must have Singaporean citizenship or PR status.

More details can be found here: https://www.joinsme.sg/Job?searchkey=indegox

Many individuals and organisations are struggling in this season and we hope that everyone will come out stronger.

Never forget the challenges you have gone through, and when you have had your breakthrough, remember to show empathy to those who are having a hard time.

We will be resurfacing soon and want to use our platforms to help individuals and organisations to overcome their challenges.

Division knows no boundaries. I heard this phrase in my head and started writing about its impact on organisations, systems and design on Medium: http://bit.ly/divisionboundaries

The inability to develop a healthy tension between competing information appears to be one of the greatest weaknesses we see on the internet, in politics and even within workplaces.

On a lighter note, we've been taking a much needed rest from the busyness of the previous few months and spending more time doing things that matter: 👉🏻 family, sleep, eating right and exercise 👈🏻

As such we also took a break from The UX of Life series that has gone on for 3 months consecutively. We'll be back online soon, perhaps with a workshop on how to do Journey Mapping for yourself📍

Feeling more refreshed, we're looking forward to what's ahead with greater rest and clarity 🤩

Someone once told us that taking the time to make things clear to others is actually an act of kindness. If you want to avoid miscommunication and division, be sure to communicate clearly!

For the UX of Life series we're looking to share about how the design process can help people in so many ways. We're also using multiple perspectives to do so. One such angle that really broadened my viewpoint was Thomas Peter's sharing from session 2, on how a photojournalist analyses fast-changing situations that range from friendly to hostile: https://youtu.be/mrM1KzN_848

AND in less than a week we're having our friend Farooqui, who is a Technical Analysis Lead from Facebook to share with us how he approaches Risk. We've also heard you - we will also be speaking more about how to apply these processes to real-life situations. If you haven't registered yet please do so at https://bit.ly/UXofLife3

Our guest for this session will be Saif Farooqui, a Technical Analytics Lead at Facebook who applies analytics, data science and data engineering skills to build and measure trust and safety solutions for the ecosystem.

"Purpose crosses disciplines. Purpose is an essential element of you. It is the reason you are on the planet at this particular time in history. Your very existence is wrapped up in the things you are here to fulfill. Whatever you choose for a career path, remember, the struggles along the way are only meant to shape you for your purpose."

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Today we shot, edited and launched our first YouTube video on 4 design principles to design anything. It's a 9-minute summary of the content from our first workshop from The UX of Life series, to help anyone overcome challenges through simple design principles.

Please send this to anyone who may need clarity in addressing problems that they may be facing in life, work or even in systems!

We're running our second session of The UX of Life on Wednesday 19 Aug 2020 10am SGT (+8 GMT)! We had such encouraging feedback from our first session that we will endeavour to run this on a monthly basis! More info at bit.ly/UXofLife2

For this 2nd installment, we will be exploring one of the first steps in the design process, which is Understanding your context. Specifically, we will be talking about how to understand others, especially when people don't always say what they think! This will be relevant regardless of whether you are solving interpersonal issues, designing a product, or planning communication.

In the meantime, it looks like we accidentally set up a YouTube channel at bit.ly/UXChannel so stay tuned as we will be creating video content, woohoo!
