Storytelling is an art 🎨, a dance between 'showing' 🎭 and 'telling' 📚.

1. Use descriptive language 📝: Show the tears, the slump of shoulders, the quiver in the voice.
2. Highlight actions ⚡: Show bravery through actions, not just words.
3. Engage the senses 🌍: Taste the salty sea air, smell the pine trees, feel the biting wind.
4. Utilize dialogue 💬: Let your characters speak their fears and dreams.
5. Describe the environment 🌲: Hear the creaking floorboards, see the flickering candlelight, feel the cold draft.
6. Use body language 👀: Show feelings through posture, gestures, facial expressions.
7. Apply vivid metaphors and similes 🌠: Paint vivid images with your words.

Remember, as a storyteller, you're an artist creating pictures with words. Show more, tell less. 📖🖋️

Hurt people hurt people.

First time I heard this line was in a story.

For some reason, this phrase has been running through my head over the past couple of weeks.

I suppose it's because I started working on the stories for which made me reflect on my actions.

As I analyze stories about actions taken when emotions cloud judgement, I felt a wave of compassion.

That's what stories do. They allow us to put ourselves in other people's shoes.

What I love about these stories is that I go on a journey with the storyteller as they go through their tale.

What thoughts have been hounding you?

If you want to hear more stories come join us on February 14.

When Christine invited me to attend Switzerland Tourism's 100% Women and Efforts launch, I thought, why not? I didn't have anything planned that night, and I hadn't seen Christine in a while, so it was an excellent opportunity to catch up.

It was a great crowd, and I learned a lot about Switzerland's efforts to promote more women in sports and their efforts to lower the carbon footprint. Most especially, it was inspiring to hear stories from Christine and Cindy about their experience climbing -- being part of a world record 100% all-female rope team to summit a 4,000-meter peak.

I had such an emotional roller coaster day that I was thankful that I was able to end the night in the company of wonderful and inspiring women. They didn't know it then, but their friendliness and warmth made a world of difference to me and my mood.

Why do our stories matter?

Through our stories we learn who we are, what values we have, where we are coming from, and where we are headed.

Like it our not our stories reveal our patterns and our secret wish.

Our stories connect us. They tell Us we are not alone.

I started WYSH to help others he better communicators through the power of stories.

It's March 6, 2022, and I'm in Dubai. It's my first trip to the Middle East. I feel parched, and my skin feels dry. Coming from Singapore, I'm not used to the lack of humidity.

I'm here for the Cartier Women's Initiative's 15th Year Reunion. I'm in awe of the community, particularly the fellows and coaches. These people are changemakers.

I started with in 2019 as a business coach. They matched me with Carmina Bayombong. Her company, InvestEd Philippines, provides education loans to under-resourced students. Through education, we can drive a systemic change in the Philippines. In particular, vote-buying.

She constantly amazes me with her drive and passion. I couldn't be prouder to see her placed second on the Impact Awards. She's not even 30 yet!

When I tell my friends about the folks I've met and reconnected with over the past few days, one of the things that struck me was how young most of them were. When I was in my 20's, I didn't have that foresight.

What I learned through all this, while not all of us can change the world, all of us can change the world for someone. It takes one.

I'm so glad that there are initiatives like CWI out there.

Together we rise!

When women thrive, humanity thrives

Fortunate to be invited to attend 15th year reunion celebration in Dubai

This wall is going to be a collage of messages for all the women and girls out there.

The message on the wall says “be the generation to end gender inequality and empower women”
