Our CEO, Leong Wei Hung, joined a panel of industry leaders at the Rystad Energy Annual APAC Summit 2026 on 3 September to discuss energy diversification and strategic alignment in Asia. Moderated by Vijay Krishnan, Managing Director, Head of APAC, Rystad Energy, the panel also included Harsh*t Agrawal, Senior Energy Specialist, World Bank, and Gualdino do Carmo da Silva, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo (ANP), Timor-Leste.

Key takeaways from the discussion:
💡The “energy trilemma” has evolved into an “energy strategy conundrum” as geopolitical disruption adds layers of complexity beyond the classic three-way tradeoff
💡Even amidst an uncertain geopolitical backdrop, Asia is staying the course on energy transition. The transition itself can be part of the solution for regional resilience
💡There isn’t one single APAC energy playbook. Every market carries its own resources, constraints and priorities
💡Strengthening ASEAN energy integration will mean finding the balance between collaboration and each country’s national interests
💡”Just in time” isn’t the same as resilient. Real preparedness means planning ahead for both “peacetime and wartime”

Conversations like these are a reminder that energy security isn’t built overnight. It requires decades of planning, investments, and regional collaboration.

August was all about good vibes (and even better fuel) at our Labrador Tower office.

💚 Durian lovers, we see you. Our annual Green Fruit Party had the whole office united (or divided 😅) over the king of fruits, with fresh coconut juice 🥥 ready at hand to cool things down.

☕️ Then TGIF hit different with a live coffee station because let's be honest, nobody's surviving Friday afternoon energy on willpower alone.

Small moments like these give the team a chance to slow down, catch up, and recharge together.

⚓ Hull meets water. A new milestone afloat.

Over the weekend, the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) for Singapore’s Second LNG Terminal was launched at the Hanwha shipyard in South Korea, a key moment in the vessel’s construction journey as its completed hull enters the water for the first time.

This marks the end of the structural fabrication phase and the start of the next chapter: outfitting, systems integration, testing and commissioning, bringing the vessel another step closer to completion. Thank you to the teams that have kept the project on track through every phase, and who will continue to do so as we move ahead.

is a series where we take you behind the scenes of what goes on inside the SLNG Terminal.

Not every critical space at our terminal involves towering tanks or humming machinery. Take for example, our warehouse. Tucked away in a less noticed corner of our terminal, it’s where we store spare parts for the equipment that keeps our operations running. Ready and within reach at all times, this enables our Maintenance team to act promptly when replacements are required, without the need to wait on vendors.

It may not be the “main character” but it definitely plays a key supporting role in our reliability story.
