Hello Wildlife Photography, it's been awhile! 🥰
Been spending some time with a family of Oriental White-eye near my office, for the past week. The tiny nest was attached to climbing plants about 3.5m from the ground. The parents worked really hard delivering fat juicy protein meals to the chicks every 10-15min interval, feeding 1 chick at a time. 🐣🐥
Two of the stronger chicks had fledged 2 days ago. The smallest, runt of the nest was nowhere to be seen yesterday when i checked the surroundings - hopefully it has fledge successfully. 🙏

📷 Some personal thoughts
Reflected on my journey in while observing this beautiful and lively family. Their bright passionate chirps cheered up my somewhat melancholy spirit. Being a Wildlife has been my core identity for over 14 years. Time flies, and it has been 2+ years since I've transitioned from photography to build my business .sg
I wonder if I had fallen out of love with Wildlife Photography.

After much soul-searching, I've come to the conclusion that I love Wildlife Photography, Nature, Animals, Trees, Earth all very very much. It's always been who I am and what inspires me everyday.

However at this stage of my life, I have to focus and devote my time to building Dreamscaper.sg, which I envision will make a greater positive difference for the environment in the long run with the limited time I have on Earth.
At Dreamscaper, we are leading the event industry towards a more sustainable future. We believe it is our shared responsibility to take care of our planet. Every time an item is rented / reused / repurposed / recycled - one less item is created or discarded in landfills. To date (updated Apr 2022), Dreamscaper.sg total count of all items rented is 25,902 times. That’s approx 12 tonnes of potential waste diverted from landfills!

Thank you Oriental White-Eye.
Gone are the shadows and doubt.
That was then. This is my now. ❤️

Been so busy for the past 2 months, at one point I was working continuously for 36 hours straight. Thankful for understanding clients who are patient with me at this time. And most thankful for clients who took time to send me testimonials. Thank you! 🙏

"We've always wanted to take some family portraits but have never got down to doing it. Besides procrastination, the other reason was because we couldn't seem to find a photographer whose works we liked, until we found Ling. And she didn't disappoint.

Ling was very professional pre-, actual, and post-shoot. She gave a lot of ideas and suggestions before the shoot and was very prompt with her replies. During the shoot, we knew it was going to be challenging because it was one with 2 (senior) dogs and 2 humans. Nevertheless, Ling was super patient in waiting to capture the right moment. 🦁 THE THREE KINGS OF MARA 🦁
Instead of fighting, this 3 adult male lions (from different mothers) have formed a coalition and brotherhood to better ensure the survival of their prides. When they meet, they greet each other with such affectionate headbutt and cheek rub that it seems as if they have not seen each others for years.
This is probably my favourite shot from Mara thus far... Tongue out, headbutt, cheek rub all in one photo, showcasing the softer side of the male lion. What more can a cat-lover ask for? 😁

"We chose Ling because we were impressed by her portfolio that captured even the subtlest expressions of animals, as well as all the positive reviews we read about her work. We are very happy to say she was indeed just what we were looking for!

On the day of the photoshoot, Ling worked tirelessly from the very first second and not once did she stop. Even when we went for a break to change into our second outfit, she continued working hard in our absence and managed to capture amazing individual shots of my doggos!

She is committed to taking the best shots for us even if this means being stuck squatting on a steep slope (for 10 minutes!!). This was under the hot and sweltering Singapore sun so imagine how exhausting it is!

This year, i decided to contact Ling for a photoshoot session for Junior as i really wanted to have a keepsake of photo taken together with him. Being a hobbyist photographer myself, i know how challenging it can be to get Junior’s attention to look into the camera lens, so before the session with Ling, I was very worried that Junior may not cooperate with her.
