The industrial sector has been a pillar of the global economy for a couple of centuries. A lot of the commonly used methods and tools were pioneered decades ago. Traditionally the IT teams and Operations teams would hardly speak to one another. Collecting insights is more often than not a serentipitious ride. Sometimes, even a literal one.
Joszeph is a Singaporean Grab driver, born before Singapore was an independent country (and a in a quite dodgy place). When explained what the Co-Creation Lab does, he relates to his own perspective:
"This is like the countries of Southeast Asia then:
- a company that keeps moving and embrace change will look like Singapore
- a company that is late to the party of innovation will be like Malaysia
- and a company that lags behind will be like the Philippines"
NB Nothing patronising in Joszeph's tone, as he's just referring to the level of development and modernity of these 3 countries.
