Condolences to the worker's family.

Just wondering if the authority will consider the use of explosives for building demolition, commonly known as building implosion.

Implosion is very common feature in the West.

I understand that HDB had done implosion in 10 blocks in Singapore before and considered it not successful.

However, HDB engineers were very involved in the project and some of them, having learnt the skill had gone to Brunei to successfully complete 1 project.

So how can it be considered "not successful"???

It could be a time for the Building Authorities to reconsider using implosion for building demolition.

A worker who was reported missing was later found dead after an hours-long operation to locate and rescue him.
