🏢 Periodic Facade Inspection (PFI): More Than Just Compliance
Did you know that under BCA guidelines, buildings in Singapore exceeding 13m in height are required to undergo a Periodic Facade Inspection (PFI) every 7 years?
PFI plays a critical role in maintaining building safety by identifying potential façade issues such as cracks, spalling concrete, or loose finishes — even when they are not visible at a glance.
🔍 As part of the requirement, at least 10% of the building façade must be inspected at close range, ensuring a more thorough and detailed assessment beyond visual checks from afar.
By ensuring timely inspections, building owners can mitigate risks, prevent costly repairs, and most importantly, safeguard the public.
At Andes Consultants, we have over 20 years of experience in providing professional façade inspection services, helping clients maintain safe and compliant buildings with confidence.
A well-maintained façade isn’t just about appearance — it reflects a commitment to safety and responsibility.
