🚨 Beware of Deepfake Scams! 🚨

You might have seen a deepfake video of me asking viewers to sign up for an investment product that claims to have guaranteed returns. The video is not real! If you see or receive such scam ads of me or any other Singapore public office holder, please do not believe them. You can report them via the government’s ScamShield Bot on WhatsApp at go.gov.sg/scamshield-bot.

Hey friends! 🚨 Just spotted a suspicious email pretending to be from GeekSquad Inc. and did a bit of digging. Guess what? It’s a phishing scam! 🕵️‍♂️

Here’s the scoop:

The email talks about "certifying" a reservation with a random number. 📄
Signed off by a person and address that doesn't add up. 🏠
I googled it and found this super helpful article on NordVPN’s blog confirming it's a hoax: Geek Squad Scam Alert https://rpb.li/LptUvy. Definitely worth a read to stay informed!

Please avoid clicking any links or sharing your info if you receive similar emails. Always double-check with the official sources if something feels off. Stay smart and safe online, everyone! 💻🔒

🚫 Don’t Fall for App Scams! 🚫

🔒 Protect Your Phone & Data! 🔒

👉 Scammers love to trick us into downloading apps from sketchy sources. Here’s why you should NEVER do it:

1️⃣ Malware Danger: Unverified apps can contain harmful viruses, spyware, and malware that can steal your personal info.

2️⃣ Data Theft: These apps can access your contacts, photos, and more, compromising your privacy.

3️⃣ Financial Risk: Scam apps might trick you into making unauthorized purchases or steal your banking info.

4️⃣ No Support: If things go wrong, there’s no one to turn to for help.

✅ Protect Yourself:

🔍 Stick to Official Stores: Download apps ONLY from trusted sources like Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

🚫 Avoid Third-Party Sites: Don’t trust random websites or links shared on social media.

👀 Check Permissions: Review app permissions and be cautious if they ask for too much access.

🔐 Keep Software Updated: Regular updates patch security holes.

Spread the word! Let’s stay vigilant and keep our devices and data safe. 📱💻🔒
