If you see or receive such scam ads of me or any other Singapore public office holder, please do not believe them. Hey friends! 🚨 Just spotted a suspicious email pretending to be from GeekSquad Inc. and did a bit of digging. Guess what? It’s a phishing scam! 🕵️‍♂️

Here’s the scoop:

The email talks about "certifying" a reservation with a random number. 📄
Signed off by a person and address that doesn't add up. 🏠

SINGAPORE: The total number of banking-related phishing scams increased by more than 2,500 per cent in the first half of this year to 898 cases, compared to 34 cases in the same period in 2019, said the police on Wednesday (Aug 26).

A survey by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore found that only 4% of Singaporeans are able to identify all phishing e-mails correctly.
