Credit risk is one of the most stable and sought-after banking jobs in Hong Kong. Banks require candidates with Mandarin-language skills into credit-risk roles in order to properly assess a growing volume of transactions from mainland China.
Corporate banks in Hong Kong also intend to hire more relationship managers to expand their market share by recruiting more risk experts to examine the credit worthiness of their new clients. Banks have a shortage of quality candidates who would move jobs including corporate banking relationship managers and qualified accountants.
